I'm not sure if the dogs have even been that good but we've made them look like a premiership team with our lack of effort so far. Pressure is non existent and the workrate and decision making has been incredibly poor.

Expected to lose today but was hoping to see the same sort of effort we showed against the Saints. Not to be so far.

Greaves is a dead set keeper.

Insert ghost busters " we've got one" gif.
Yep. He good.

As Bartel said, why aren't we manning that extra up?
Dogs would just push another defender up to get the out number back. It's how they want to play because the umpiring the get favours them at stoppages

Howe has plenty of mates having bad games but for those knocking his speed, it's nothing new he doesn't have much and Johansson and Richards make a lot of quick players look slow.
I'm all for telling it like it is but perspective wouldn't go astray.

As mentioned to you, probably over 1000 times this year, the club thought they did have the cattle to perhaps feature in finals. I certainly did. They finished the year last year with a strong finish and started again that way before the break. It became clear shortly after the break that certain players had dropped off significantly, kids aren’t as great as we thought that no, we are not. With the inability to train together properly, you can’t just tweak a game plan mid year can you?
Agree, sometimes one just has to stop and think about what maybe happening within the coaching and playing group that just has not work. I know I have stopped being overly critical.

Because Mitchell, O’Meara, Shiels etc are just showing the way
I'm not sure O'meara should even be out there, to be honest.

I think he put his hand up when Worpel went down, but the word going around was that he would sit out the rest of the season. Mitchell is probably in a similar spot, after coming back from the broken leg but we've managed to keep him rotating off the flanks at times.

Seems we've got a bunch of blokes who've played through a stream of bad games and lost their fight.

A quick thing i have noticed in this game on the stats handball to kick ratio in the mids.
Shiels 4-6
Tom 2-6
Jom 2-5
Wingard 1-3
Morrison 3-5.
Finn 2-2
Cousins 4-4.

Tom is the only player i want high handballing do we have receivers.

I could handle getting belted in the contested possession count when we were silky and cut teams up on the outside, but have we won a contested possession count this year? Maybe 1.

Won contested possession against Lions, Tigers and Carlton. Lost it against Roos. Didn't check our losses.

Our skills are woeful aswell, and we get killed in the air each week.

Yup.

There’s literally no part of the game we excel at, we are going to struggle the next few years if we can’t start competing in the contested possession game

On paper we should be ok in this area. O'Meara, Mitchell, Worpel should be a contested possession winning machine as a trio. Not really sure why it hasn't played out like that on the field.

In a real crap season full of poor efforts that half almost takes the cake.

I actually thought for some reason we would have a dip today and try and finish the year with something for the supporters but that was as bad as it gets.

Mitch Lewis was taken pick 80 odd for a reason. His decision making and composure is horrendous but he only has 20 odd games under his belt so needs a bit more time.

Wingard Mitchell Shiels Breust Howe all look like they want to be at the winery and the body language of these senior players is diabolical.

Ceglar from the start of the game again is a
Clumsy Clutz and sets a real poor standard.

How did Paul Poppy get another season? If we can see it clearly last year he was done why can’t the club see it.

Imagine Jeff’s letter this week? Yikes.

Of course, they are the midfield. That’s the problem. Nil impact between the three of them and their opponents have walked it out of contests
Top 3 for tackles on our team as well. Not exactly their fault that Ceglar keeps hitting it straight to the dogs

Only watching bits and pieces, but I have the overwhelming sense that the senior players are playing bruise free football and do not want to get their hands dirty. A bit of a shocking indictment, really, as they are there to protect the kids.
A shocking indictment on the players or the selectors measured selections?
