<waves>They still publish articles on the whole thing because people are still interested in the train wreck that is Hird/Dank/Essendon/34 players. People say they aren't interested, but still look each time as slowly, but surely, more and more pieces of the jigsaw come out. It's human nature to look at the mess, but claim that you're above looking.
It's like the posters who get in this forum and complain about "why is this still relevant" or "it's time to move on", yet they are in the thread reading the articles.
who in the club is currently doing that?I really disappointed in the way the EFC has behaved and continue to do so.
There is no faux rage in me. The game has been hijacked because EFC wanted to gain an unfair advantage then cover up once caught.
Genuine disgust.
It is foe outrage for some club supporters
That is true Mext, it has been an overload, I can speak for myself in saying I don't want an airbrushed version being remembered and that is what keeps me interested.
I think the HTB thinks alike, the milk is spilt and we should move on but the defensive nature of EFC and the players has kept everyone focussed.
The bad news is I suspect there is lots more scandal to come and no one is going anywhere now until an insider spills there guts and we have a fly on the wall view of what happened.
Nothing else will suffice but that as there has been so much subterfuge it has brought out the cynic in everyone.
To move on the full story is needed, are we going to get it. Who knows. Let's hope we do .
Think it would die a quick death once The story comes out.
essendon have repeatedly conceded they made large mistakes in 2012. however, if youre after some admission that they planned to dope players from day one youre going to be very dissapointedWell there is 34 who are appealing there suspensions.
EFC still have not come clean, they can do this and we would move on. By not coming clean is perpetuating the drama.
Current regime organising a parade to celebrate there handy work.
EFC still have shown no contrition.

As for organising a parade to support the club's players going forward, I'm not surprised given how difficult the last 3 years have been for the fans and players. They need a new start and now is as good a time as any
you're entitled to your view but I completely disagree. Essendon are in for a difficult year, and the players are no doubt suffering. I think it's great the fans want to stand behind the club and players and look towards the future together. This is why a 100 year old club cannot be defined by 1 poor year, it's so much more than some stupid mistakes made 4 years agoThat steroid pride march has nothing to do with a fresh start. It's keeping the pot simmering the drug cheats front and square.
I've used it and it clearly works have you?

youre assuming the fans are going to be there to celebrate the players for cheating. Thats an idiotic view to be honest, but quite fitting for the HTBI think my view is common to most and cheat march is a disgrace which should have Lance Armstrong there to lead it along. The faster the drug cheating Essendon can cut ties with this shameful & embarrassing episode in it's the history, the faster they'll move forward.
Dont acknowledge them ,then no problemyoure assuming the fans are going to be there to celebrate the players for cheating. Thats an idiotic view to be honest, but quite fitting for the HTB
Id be disgusted if Hird got a heros reception... But I wouldnt be surprised. Whatd you reckon mxeie?essendon have repeatedly conceded they made large mistakes in 2012. however, if youre after some admission that they planned to dope players from day one youre going to be very dissapointed

I would be happy to acknowledge them. I want them to know they are welcome at Essendon next yearDont acknowledge them ,then no problem
agree. He's not welcome. Thats not looking forward, it's holding on to a shameful pastId be disgusted if Hird got a heros reception... But I wouldnt be surprised. Whatd you reckon mxeie?
what the faux are you on about? The faux outrage line is a thing of faux beauty, of faux depth and faux sharp observation. It always causes me faux joy and giggles. My faux sadness though is caused by a clubs faux care for players, an administrations faux observance of WADA, an icons faux truth telling and faux erectile, faux records, faux interviews, faux full support for the process. Let's call the episode The Master Faux Pas. Excuse me now gentlepeople I'm off for some faux food in my faux Levis and faux crocs.
Faux ignorance?what the faux are you on about?
You're assuming that Hird/Dank was an abberration but really its part of the clubs arrogant, self entitled salary cap cheating, bad sportsmanship, sly sheedy style, fat boy at the table type psychology built up over decades. Why only Essendon? Why no other club? I mean even basic record keeping........ stand behind the club and players and look towards the future together. This is why a 100 year old club cannot be defined by 1 poor year, it's so much more than some stupid mistakes made 4 years ago
Except where reputation is everything, that one poor year does somewhat define your club. When you think of Carlton, what's the first thing you think about? Their premierships?you're entitled to your view but I completely disagree. Essendon are in for a difficult year, and the players are no doubt suffering. sure, their reputation has suffered immeasurably, but you cannot claim they are the same as they were in 2012. The majority of staff and players are differentExcept where reputation is everything, that one poor year does somewhat define your club. When you think of Carlton, what's the first thing you think about? Their premierships?
oh come on, many many clubs have cheated the salary cap or tanked. Indiciduals in clubs make poor decisions, but that is not the definition of each clubYou're assuming that Hird/Dank was an abberration but really its part of the clubs arrogant, self entitled salary cap cheating, bad sportsmanship, sly sheedy style, fat boy at the table type psychology built up over decades. I want the truth (and more humble pie. )
the club needs to come together with a show of support now IMOHave a new start parade a year from now once punishments are served, I could relate to that.
