1. We played a gruelling game the week before in Cairns
2. We were missing 3 of our starting 22 and Butler went off with an injury at half time
3. Umpires
4. Melbourne had Steven May playing the whole game.

1. We are a better team.

Again... Had Freo lost to your saints at docklands on the weekend. Theses 2 factors would of been mentioned.

1. Saints didn't travel in their last game. Had Carlton at docklands. Meanwhile Freo had a tough Port side in Perth.

2. Saints had 8 days off to recover. Freo only had 6 days

St Kilda managed to stop Freo in the dry and at home, we would have won by more if the umpires weren't so biased towards Freo.

However, ignoring the last half of this post about the premiership, we'll worry about that bridge if that time comes...

There's time for banter, time for introspection - and time for graciousness, which is one of the harder parts of footy.
