huh? do you know how odds work? those odds completely contradict your statement.

Yes the odds are short but the odds also say Melbourne are more likely to lose the premiership than win.

Then you say it's an indictment even though we're most likely not going to win. Odd comments by you.
Yea I do. At the minute Melbourne are the hottest of favourites to win the flag. One of the hottest favourites in recent history. Therefore, they would want to walk away from this era with more than one flag. I reckon your players & coach would see it as an utter failure if they didn’t capitalise on their current position. You think otherwise, good for you.

An indictment on the club is a massive stretch.
flags aren't easy to win.

having short odds is irrelevant. especially when the odds say we will most likely not win the flag.

Having the shortest odds means you are more likely to win the flag over any other club - completely relevant to my initial statement. Quit playing semantics.

Anything less than 8 in a row will be sub par

Flagmantle.

I think structurally we’ll cause problems for them. I think we have a better chance than any to beat them at the G. On the other hand I can’t see us beating Brisbane at the Gabba or Sydney at SCG.

Just feel like those wide open spaces at the G and head to head personnel v Dees..we’ll go alright.
Disagree, I think structurally Carlton are the one who best match us. No real concerns over Fremantle.

The game was sold out. People didn’t show up. Mainly corporates as I stated earlier.

Why are you deflecting? Your crowd numbers mirror North Melbournes and that’s after you won a flag.
It’s embarrassing mate. But keep deflecting it onto my mob if it helps you sleep. I’m happy either way.

It is adorable though how insecure you are about it by bringing up a stadium with a capacity of 20k due to redevelopment 🥰

Ps - I really do love your username. I laugh every time I see it.
Happy with tonight’s crowd bud?

They are half the team geelong were in 2008 and we know how that ended.. It can be done.

All it will take is a few injuries to key players at the pointy end or just an off day in the grand final or prelim and its over.

Gets more and more likely as the year goes on and there becomes a gap with ladder positions. Alot of pressure on melbourne and not much on those hunting them will have some melbourne boys uneasy

It's hard to see how they get beaten
IF I had to rank the games they could lose

1. Geelong GMHBA
2. Brisbane GABBA
3. Port TIO Stadium
4. Fremantle Optus

FWIW I think Brisbane is the only one they will potentially lose. 21-1

Unless we have some sort of midfield revolution or Melbourne have an injury, can’t see it.

Seems a bizarre thing to say when for the majority of this season we haven’t had ANYONE over the age of 28 in our team, while Brisbane have the following over 28:

Zorko 33yo
Robinson 33yo in June
Rich 32yo in June
Lyons 30yo in July

With 3 of them top 5 in Brisbane’s B&F last year. All will be gone within 5 years.

Then you have:

Neale 29yo in May
Adams 29yo in June
McCarthy 29yo in October
Daniher 28yo
Cameron 28yo in July
McInerney 28yo in July

That’s 10 of their best 22 who are 28yo or older by July and then you’ve possibly got McStay out the door through FA.

But somehow their team is better suited to a sustained run at finals, while our younger one isn’t?

Okey-dokey.

Even Freo:

Mundy 103yo
Walters 31yo
Fyfe 31yo in September
Lobb 29yo
Taberner 29yo in June

Only Mundy from that lot likely to be playing in 5 years.
Oh my God, no one cares

You guys look good and we haven’t beaten anyone so I’m told.
I am curious to see how our defensive structure holds up.

You should of beaten Richmond by 10 goals tonight obviously. Feel like we’ll at the minimum be very competitive even at the G, which you boys will love to have before finals intensity.

Brisbane and Sydney are shit at the G.

Their real test will be when they come up against a team who KNOWS how to beat them. Melbourne will have their first loss against us like last year
Blanket Walker and it’s an easy win. Our defensive set up was so good against you lot you kept kicking it out on the full hugging the wings. Obviously Walker didn’t play but you had Elanis help that day.

Zorko has already been rotated out of the middle, Robinson is not even best 22 anymore either.

Rich & Lyons certainly big players for us though, although Lyons still only 30.

Think Rich is easily replaceable though IMO.
