While this season are pale imitations of what the show once was, comments like this give me the shits. Are you saying you didn't laugh, smile or even smirk at anything in that episode?

You know what, I actually didn't laugh. I think I smiled a bit when Barney was singing the boobs on the bus and Marshall shut the door on him, then opened it again to let him finish.

The game show concept would've been really funny but for some reason, to me, it wasn't completely executed right. I got then vibe that the actors were just phoning it in and they didn't provide that usual spark which would've made it funny.

The ruiner of the episoder was Lily and her constant wailing every single time they mentioned death. It was horrid and reminded me of "Where's the poop?/You son of a bitch" Lily.

I still like the show but I feel like it's a tad too slow paced for me right now, particularly after 8 seasons. I'd really like some progress towards the mother.

Fair enough. And sorry if my post sounded harsh. IMO even in its current state, it's still better than most stuff on TV. But it's good evidence that shows shouldn't go on for more the 5-6 seasons.

Agree an episode is always worse off when Lily isn't the "straight man".

There is definitely a noticeable decline, but nowhere near as bad as The Office has, in almost the same amount of episodes over the same period of time. (And im a bigger fan of The Office as a whole)

At it's worst still shits over the best of Two and Half Men.

This show takes 1 step forward to take 3 steps back. Latest ep was good but they need to stop going back to this ted/robin thing, considering all the clues they have given indicate that she is not the mother and will most likely end up with Barney. Unless the writers have genius loophole in which they can make her the mother given everything we now, please just move on.

I felt bad for Jason Segel, did he look at the script for this episode and just shake his head? What an embarrassment.

haha true come to think of it. I was more distracted by how much weight he has lost. It looks like he is shedding the baby weight instead of lily.

What is going onnnnnn

I have not been as critical as others regarding the quality of season seven and early season eight but I really didn't think much of yesterdays episode. They really need to do something with Marshall and Lily - it cannot be that hard since parents and children have formed the basis of sitcoms for years. There has to be a tonne of new scenarios that open up now that they have a kid. In addition, the extent to which the show went out of their way to make the audience dislike Victoria was a real shame.

Pretty well impossibru. He tells them she's "Aunt Robin" in Ep 1, and there's no way they could legitiamately claim that she is their mother after calling her Aunt Robin for 8 seasons. But yeah, everytime they go back to it i think the audience as a whole lets out an unimpressed groan.

There will definitely be one more Ted/Robin go around before the show is over. Reason being the last thing Victoria said indicates Ted is still in love with her and last year in that episode where they revealed Lily and Marshall had a bet as to whether or not Ted and Robin end up together, Marshall conceded it was over but Lily who was betting against them ending up together still said its not. Plus every time a female uses her intuition on this show in regards to emotions or relationships it pretty much always plays out how they say it will.

I liked the episode as a whole. Barney, hilarious (i actually felt sure he and robin would hook up when they returned the dog), The Ted and Victoria thing advanced.

Marshall and Lilly needed to be sweeped away in a hurricane though. No wonder Jason Segal has said enough is enough.

I would like this episode so much more if Ted and Robin were endgame. I hate that they're not and it just makes perfect sense if Robin was the mother. I didn't really care all that much in previous seasons, but the writers have made so much ground on Ted and Robin (8 years worth, seriously) that to me, they just can't go back. Whoever the mother will be just won't be as great as Robin. It especially sucks when Victoria said "I REALLY hope you get her". That line is supposed to make the audience really want to root for them as well! And it worked for me at least.

Hahaaa return of " The ghost in the post " Marshall Eriksen

The T-Squares.... " That floors uneven !!!!! "

Ted - " Apparently the basket didn't count because the ball went " Out of bounds "...don't worry . i've appealed to the little league office.

Yeah, much better episode.

I get the feeling whatever they put out, some people will never be happy. As I've said before Season 6 actually stands up far better on repeat viewing than what I though at the time.

Decent episode. God I hope this is the last season. I want to smack Ted in the face for being a bitch.
