It's just not that funny any more. Too much speechifying and sentimental stuff.
It would be nice if they got all the plot stuff out of the way with the finale and spent most of the final season just stuffing around and, y'know, making jokes.

Didn't think much of that episode. And I let out a very audible "oh for **** sake" at the last scene.
Pretty much the same for me
We've seen the laser tag jokes a million times.
I still can't wait to see how they wrap it up and what the twist will be. The show is still watchable, its just not what it once was. But not many shows are when they get to the 8th season. Seinfeld and Simpsons are exceptions to this rule

Yeah I've enjoyed most of this season to be honest - the early stuff (mostly the whole Autumn of Breakups story arc) was ordinary but there's been some great episodes as well. This week's ep wasn't one of them, unfortunately.
I assume we won't see Lilly and Marshall much in the final season as they're in Italy?

Knowing this show, they will probably go 'for the summer' (i.e. while the show is on hiatus) and then something will happen to ensure they are back in NYC around the start of next season.

I wouldn't mind so much if Ted actually ends up with Robin but we've already ruled that out so this shit should've stopped in season 3 or something. Why build up so much when they can't be together? Waste of time.

Except this was more Robin than Ted. But Ted is so full of shit that he'd never fully let go of her until she's married. That was pretty evident from the faceoff between he and Barney a few weeks back. Yeah it's a bit annoying as we all just want to know who the mother is, but I thought it was interesting that there was a part or Robin that hadn't fully let go of Ted. Or so she thinks.
Thought the packing scenes were a bit clumsy, although I liked that the triangle went to Italy and the Italy book went to the triangle.

The writers should have taken their own advice in the last episode.
Season 8 has actually been pretty good, but some of the recurring storylines are sucking the life out of this show.

Thought they could've done a better reveal, but at least we've finally seen her... unless she's a red herring. She did look different to the one at the train station.
overall, i thought it was probably one of the best eps for the season. hard to discuss it too much without spoilers though. don't know the code for the spoiler thingo haha.

Not that is means anything but the credits have it listed as Cristin Milioti as 'the girl with the yellow umbrella'. Turns out that it doesn't mean anything and she is the mother (not that I expected anything different) just thought it was an odd choice to list in the credits.
