How many from your team can walk in to any best 23

Not true, Ginbey would play ahead of Mullin instantly, he can also play on a wing but more likely one of their talls like Osullivan is moved out to make space. Ginbey is more than capable of playing as a 3rd tall and theyre not sacrificing any quality of youth by making that swap.
Ginbey wouldn't get in our side. Over Mullin right now yes.
He'll be out in a fortnight of Kolodjashnij. And we're leaving out Duncan these days.

He'd be on my list for this thread.
Fan club ticket no.1.

Genuinely one of the most underrated players in the competition.

Even restricting to only players in the same end of the ground and not looking at the Interchange players I'd swap ZG for Jiath in a heartbeat.
I wouldn't have Jiath as best 23 for Hawthorn

The Hawthorn starting back 6 would be
B: Sicily, Barrass, Impey
HB: Scrimshaw, Battle, Amon

As harsh as it is I'm not have Guthrie ahead of them

I ain't having him behind Scrimshaw or Impey.
Not a chance in hell.

Im not convinced Ginbey plays over Zorko, Wilmot and Starcevich. Coleman if/when gets back from the ACL would start over him to.

Uh huh, so which wouldn’t those players “walk-in” to?
I couldn't tell you. I know we'd take Rachelle, but the other dross you can keep.

Assume they'd all get a game at Richmond, Carlton probably, StKilda.. but would be based on individual club needs from then on.

Rachelle would elevate himself into that group if he maintains his form, I rate him.

I guarantee you that youd make space for Ginbey in your backline.
If you think different its only because you havent watched Ginbey play

Decent interceptor, can play tall or small, and would be the best runner in your team.

Like many players, if you had an extra good defender in a strong backline for example, youd make space for them by moving a poor winger/poor mid/poor half forward out and re-shuffling the squad.

Ginbey can play Lesters role too btw

dross? You think Soligo and Worrell are dross? You don't know footy.

You're right. I don't know who they are and don't care for them. My support of the AFL starts and ends with my frauds.

They are dross until they perform in September and you blokes do something. I think you can, but there's better teams than St.Kilda + Richmond out there. You'll probably win by 50 on the weekend, but again it's not going to mean much.

What's the purpose of discussing it then?

We can discuss many things, i'm sure. Adelaide FC would best be discussed with Adelaide FC people, I'd have thought. I will go with the more lettered 'Good Ordinary' next time, if it makes you feel slightly better.

Both could be as you say, we'll see this week, I'm looking forward to seeing these a-graders for the first time.

Didn’t see much in him until he moved down back. He’ll make the level.

Now give me Hough playing opposite side of Z Guthrie.

Hearing Lewis state blues only have 5-6 got me thinking about Freo and other teams.

For freo I’m pretty confident
Brayshaw
Serong
Young
Jackson
Treacy
Bolton
Amiss
Pearce
Clark
Ryan
(10)Would make any best 23
I reckon you're being generous to a few of our guys.

Not sure Amiss is there yet.

Ryan not on recent form. His kick outs flatter his stats and he's one of the biggest reasons for out slow ball movement.

Pearce has played 122 games in 10 seasons as he is always getting injured.

From Collingwood:

  • De Goey
  • Houston
  • Quaynor
  • Maynard
  • Hill
  • N.Daicos
  • J.Daicos

  • Moore?
  • McStay?

(Obviously talking about each of these individually rather than suggesting all of these would walk into any team as a collective)

Honestly I don’t watch enough of other teams microscopically to say the whys and wherefors of each team closely enough to say definitively that each player from each of the other 17 teams’ best 22 is going to have ‘this or that’ in his favour.

But as good as Lawson Humphries already is, and will be, he’s not pushing a first choice Lions player out yet. They’d trade for him I’m sure and want him in their squad and he’d make it soon enough but I don’t know that he’d just walk in.

Ollie Dempsey probably isn’t either.

If JUH was fit and playing (which may never happen again who knows) I can’t see a circumstance in which the Dogs would bother playing Ollie Henry. They have Sam Darcy, Naughton, JUH, and Cody Weightman who kicks basically as many per game as Ollie, and Bontempelli who contributes well over a goal a game. Given how little else Henry offers, I don’t know that he would get in there. The way Adelaide are scoring at the moment he might struggle there too.

Blicavs is old and it’s only his versatility now which makes him appealing but he would be fringe at a few clubs who are tall-heavy. Hes not a good forward, he’s still a handy defender but not what he was 5-6 years ago.

That’s a few.
Lawson Humphries is averaging 23 touches a game and becoming one of the leagues best small/medium defenders with elite foot skills.

He would replace either Lester Jaspa fletcher, Noah answerth, Logan morris or Sam day in the b22.

Old fart fagan is also a huge fan publicly of blicavs and would walk him into b22 I can guarantee it. He has sung his praises before

The question is not specific enough so I’ve taken it as any player that would comfortably be sub at least, for any side.

Zorko
Doedee
Starcevic
Andrews
Payne
Coleman
Lester
Wilmot
Washcroft
Neale
McCluggage
Dunkley
Berry
Bailey
Rayner
Cameron
Lohmann
Ah Chee
Lashcroft

Coach: Chris Fagan

Those are the guratanteed ones, and you could make an argument for someone like Mills too.
I'd add McInerney to this list. Can't think of any clubs who clearly have two better wingers, though admittedly his recent form has been a bit dodgy. Roberts I think would make this list soon enough.

Mills 100% would if actually fit (especially given how good of a defender he is), problem is he's barely been fit for the last two years.

Rowbottom would be close but might struggle to crack a midfield like Brisbane or Port. JJ is the best tagger in the league (IMO) but not everyone plays a tagger. Prime Rampe and Lloyd would be on the list, but not their current equivalents (though Lloyd would be close).
