The likes of ANZ sent home loan roles into Asia over a decade ago. They came back pretty quickly because rework and complaints went through the roof.

Offshoring works when the role is process based. Primarily data entry, because all you do is follow the script or procedure.

For anything that requires genuine local knowledge and client understanding, unless you send a local management team over to supervise, it rarely works.

Fwiw I had a gig once designed solely around this exact problem. The basics are easy, but everything goes to shit the minute you hit a speed bump

I work for a multinational corporation that has made attempts to offshore much of our work, with little success. If the knowledge base and quality control aren't comparable, saving a few dollars due to labor costs doesn't work out over the long term.

Given my post/s have pointed out Frydenderg's incessant attack on his home State - including a postscript - the only sequential conclusion a person not brain dead could arrive at is he - the poster - was referring to Milner. Who has been pro-Dan. Hence asking for a link to anti-Dan criticism from Milner.

Covid's work from home rules will have minimal to zero effect on increasing that. And you'd be pretty ignorant to suggest otherwise.
