Talk about losing credibility, starts post with...
Is this a very clever joke to validate the post you, on the surface, were dismissing at the slightest and first opportunity to avoid discussing any content within?

You mean the ban that wouldn't have stopped many of the recent attacks? Great idea. What is stopping Muslims in those other countries from becoming extremist? I mean, we have home grown muslims who have become extremist muslims...

Also no, by the constitution we can't pick and choose who we let in in terms of religion. Maybe you should give reading anything other than Andrew Bolt a go.
So what is your soloution? I see you have a fairly strong stance without offering any remedy. The more muslims we allow into Australia, the more bigoted backward points of view we allow in. How many practicing muslims do you personally know that are OK with things like gender equality, homosexuality, differing views on religion etc? I find it exteremely amusing that these leftist folks can’t stand conservatives, to the point where they constantly insult and degrade them as humans by referring to them as nazis or facists or racists etc but back Muslim immigration to the hilt. Muslims are generally worse on these points than the average conservative.
In regards to your last statement, maybe you should consider some facts about these things and not just what you view to be right via the leftist narrative.

So that’s the best response you can come up with? How about a reasoned response to anything I said.

Why is it that you conservatives have to use troll accounts?

The extremes are that one side assumes the worst of a people based on their nations apparent values as represented by their laws and the other assumes the best of a people based on countless examples of humanity being very much the same across all ways of life.

Another in depth intelligent response to a statement made by me. Get back to me when you can construct a reasonable response worthy of a debate.

You are proving my point though, questioning if I’m a real person just because my opinion conflicts with your own. Keep dehumanising conservatives though, as I said before the left are so happy to throw the Facist label around, have a look in the mirror. I’m happy to debate anything with you if you have a reasoned response, so really that would make me more open and liberal than someone like you, who only pretends to be a liberal.

I don't think the latter is extreme, it's problem is it doesn't explain much. I think everyone recognises we have a common humanity, but it's the differences, however small, that matter. If I think the world should be run way, and you think the opposite, it doesn't really matter if we're both kind to the people we love or treat our children right or whatever.

Nobody called you a fascist. You called yourself a fascist.

And here's the thing about free speech. You can all vomit up bile about muslims, Aborigines, sudanese, women, gays etc. This nonsense is everywhere. The media, social media. You have politicians and parties expressly built around pushing this barrow. It's some deep dark truth you're saying.

But others can point out these opinions are bigoted and racist. They can point out the effects of bigotry and racism. You can disagree.

But the movement against what is described as political correctness is the organised attempt to legitimise bigotry and racism.

You can spout all the nonsense you what, but the wailing about having racism labelled and analysed will continue.

I don't think you have the perspicacity to weigh in on this subject.

So many issues are currently concurrently occurring but to focus on two....

I believe when things go too far, as they are in recent times, that often there's an organic push back, not just stopping where it rests, but reversing itself, perhaps even all the way to the opposite extreme.

as I said, there is a symbiosis that will give each other the momentum. someone called me a silly old man for evoking this pov on the Sex-assault/rape-Hollywood thread.

What one could see, if they are a particularly coherent consumer of world affairs, and offer a degree of acuity, there is a confluence of three matters, Trump, Russia, SexualAssault. I believe all three are axiomatically intertwined, and I can forsee someone stalling me at Russia's relationship with sexualassault.

Well, easy, thru i) Trump, and ii) NATO, and them being(Russia being) sidelined with the gay thing and pussy-riot.

All of these factors have pooled together and are indispensable for the force of the other factors

There are A LOT of things going on in the world today that are related. A lot of mechanisms in play, often out of site. Take the lid off, it's like a complex swiss watch, multiple mechanisms (small and large) all working together. Think it goes even deeper/wider than Trump/Russia

This is true, but unfortunately many people continue to lump all persons of a particular identity into a single homogenous group ie all Muslims are bad or backwards, all people left of centre are communist, all people right of centre are Nazis, etc.
It is very, very rarely accurate.

Trump and Russia set this off. If the DNC had got, say Bernie elected, or HRC elected, then this(Harvey, sexualassault) would have bubbled away below the surface.

no doubt there are many other factors. But these are the overwhelming forces at play in the current imbroglio.

Very few left wingers are communist, but if you were to assert that communism is unequivocally worse than capitalism and a person who considers themselves left wing, yet not communist, recoils - what does this say about them?

Not sure this hypothetical adds to this thread. Nobody is silencing that debate.

The issue is what is acceptable to some is not to others - use of racial terms is considered acceptable to older generations who would not use similar terms today. Is that "PC gone mad" or merely the progression of society moving to a place where people are more accepting and emotionally intelligent?

The last 4 terrorist attack's in Australia have all been from Muslim refugees

Have you had a look a the brutal horror that is occurring in these countries that thee US have put a ban on ? a large % of their population has a strong hatred for the west, we cant just keep on relying on the police and security officials to accurately screen them all.

Can you show me which part of the Australian constitution applies to potential immigrants? the Australian constitution is for Australian citizens

It also much deeper than terrorism some people just have a very hard time adapting to life in Australia which is evident by the fact that certain ethnic communities have a higher concentration of crime and welfare dependency than others. We also need to cut back on immigration levels full stop to relieve pressure on housing prices, infrastructure and increase wages.

A good example of PC going mad would be commonwealth games officials being told to use gender neutral language to avoid offence.

This thread is about political correctness and how its existence means conservatives can't express their opinions.

As we can read, that is patently bullshit.

If we look at this forum as a microcosm, there are posters suggesting certain races are biologically inferior. Some posters have suggested slavery (their term, not mine) as a way of solving this gang issue. Other posters have suggested vigilante groups to patrol blacks; a direct rip off from the semi-fictional group in the new Romper Stomper. Posters have suggested using laws to prevent black Africans from congregating in public.

If political correctness is supposed to stop them from speaking, it sure isn't working.

If we expand this to society, there are entire parties built around bigotry. It's all ON and other micro-parties stand for. A sitting minister has engineered a racial moral panic. Admittedly, a poster would not suggest 'slavery' in real life, because he knows what would happen. But the same bigotry prevails everywhere.

I didn't realise the USA was Australia. Makes a lot of sense now.

The Australian constitution is not for Australian citizens, derp. It's the overall law that governs this country. Derpy derp.

Oh and wow, a bolt article.. who would have guessed.
