I just had a looked at the TV guide, and Carlton will be on Saturday night AGAIN!

And Carlton was their guess? Seriously? Carlton?
They clearly spent too much time reading what our fans thought of our team this year and listening to some of the hype based on a good win or two to end last season.

They obviously thought we were going to be one of the improvers and playing more attacking footy. I think they’ll learn a big lesson from this.

It’s funny to me how all the outrage seems to be about us. The Bulldogs have been just as terrible and it wasn’t that hard to see that they weren’t going to be that good this year.

It's not really about Carlton as opposed to the AFL's scheduling. Bulldogs have been terrible but at least they are not stinking up prime time TV every second week. They also won a flag not too long ago. The decision to have Carlton as the AFL poster child is simply baffling.

Out of interest who are you happy watching? I'm a bit bored with the product league wide, maybe a by-product of national expansion during a period of growth in soccer and basketball at junior level?

Lucky they started the weekend with the Swans/Carlton snorefest.

I don't think my heart could have coped after all the other exciting blockbusters we have had this weekend with all those good teams !

I think there really is an argument for the 6-6-6 proposal where after 17 rounds teams are put into groups

Group 1 - 1 to 6
Group 2 - 7 to 12
Group 3 - 13 to 18

as it lessens the amount of really crap games.

Adelaide vs GWS. Prelim finalist last year, cracking game as a result. Blind freddy could see that's a better prospect than Carlton vs Sydney at SCG.

Crows played doggies on a Friday night last week, boring as. GWS played the Cats on a Friday a few weeks back, also a snooze fest. Blind Freddy needs to look a bit further than Carlton to liven up the screens.

I agree that it is not Carlton per se.

But blind freddy could have seen that Sydney v Carlton was going to end only one way.

A lot of games are tedious in part, or in whole, but some games are able to be predicted as such.

It was the same as the the old Ross Lyon at St Kilda and Roos at Sydney games years ago. The result was and style of football was entirely predictable. And the games were reviled for that reason.

Tell me you sat through the entirety of the Swans Carlton game then.

It's only going to get worse though with, as if results go to expectation this week, the top 10 may be separated by at least 6 points and percentage by the end of the round, from the bottom 8.

And if we see games involving the both bottom 8 sides, then they'll be the equivalent of watching a "dead rubber"in tennis, again and again and again.
I watched it up until 8:30, then chucked archer on, on Netflix; before watching the Socceroos dismantle the czech's. Didn't even flick it back to 7 after that. Everyone knew that Sydney would win and it wasn't enough of a slaughter to keep me interested. If it was 60+ at half-time then I may have kept checking in.

Bloody spewing. Finish work, look at the fixture excited for some Friday footy, beers and a pizza and see Carlton isn't playing tonight! Whats going on at AFL house. Surely they could schedule another Carlton game instead of 2 previous finalists from last year. Disgrace.

better performance against the swans, than the saints last night

The AFL has confirmed that Carlton will be playing Saturday night in round 23

They just can't help themselves can't they
Hidden away on Foxtel. No one will be watching it
