Apparently a quarter of all infected people in Vic haven't been self-isolating. What's the opposite of secession and can we apply it to Victoria? I understand Dan Andrews is copping a lot of hate and his handling of the situation has been less than ideal, but there isn't really much he can do when a significant portion of the population simply refuse to do the right thing and put everyone else at risk. Do we have to go full authoritarian CCP-style and start welding people inside their homes?
The tribe has spoken, extinguish torch gif

I don’t see why you would need such drastic measures. America has no consistent policy, we can do whatever we want and it’s working out great for us.....

Opposite of succession is nuclear annihilation. Wouldnt have to worry about high court rubbish then.

Sitting in that pouring game in the Geelong game I was also really impressed by my fellow supporter base. No pushing or shoving to get in or out of the stadium and people just enduring the wet, not retreating to covered areas and not leaving the game early (like our neighbours supporters seem to do all the time) was a highlight on a night when it was a tough game to watch.

Really glad the Optus peeps did that article.

I agree. I didn't go and meant to comment on the great crowd that turned up as a positive for the game.

The article makes some good points amid the hysterical rants of the head of the nurses union.

However I'd have less confidence in returning to 60,000 spectators if hard boarders come down. While they're up we've have had no community transmission form 4 months or so and this is two weeks after the first crowd of around 24,000 attended.

Interesting that maybe AFL have already decided that Queensland will host finals and maybe GF as they've extended accommodation bookings until end of October but don't have any bookings in WA!

If the hard border came down I would still expect the quarantine protocols to be followed, I'd expect them to be strengthened too.

Something like it's now 21 days, entirely at your expense and a cap of people so a waiting list created.

Then we don't have the hard border, but we do have the hard border.

There's no way in the world that the Weags go to Cairns and we don't. Unpossible. The only reason we won't have to go anywhere further than Cairns is because there isn't anywhere further. Though Weipa does have a nice footy ground.
