What's not fair is that they haven't sorted out memberships yet, the entire AFL now has tickets on sale, except WC and Freo. The game is in freaking 3 weeks.

So what's the deal with public? We just won't get any chance to? I live over seas now and im flying in to see some family and was pumped to go to round 1. sigh, what a joke.

When I was on the waiting list, tickets always used to go on sale the Monday two weeks before the game. Not sure if that's still been the case in the last couple of years but if it is, round 1 wouldn't be on sale yet anyway.

The front of those stands definitively do - that's why the Noteholders grabbed all the seats in level 1 on the North Side.

The Chris Mainwaring wing was always bathed in sun during day games. The North wing is the same. The further around you get to Burswood end, the longer the sun will last.

I'm in block 141, and expect to be in the sun for the first half of day games.

oak

I think there's some sun but the grounds are aligned differently.

Optus is rotated clockwise by about 30 - 35 degrees (rough guesstimate) so the sun will be a different problem and not quite comparable to Chris Mainwaring wing - I think - but I am no expert.:(

Hey guys..any idea why we cant buy tix for the rd 1 game? Not even listed when i go to ticketsmaster....i understand that getting eagles tickets through ticketmaster is like a needle in a hay stack but i usually buy resale and there isnt even anything on there...just seems strange that it goes straight to rd 2?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Sorting the last of the members on the waiting list and getting them seats. Taking longer than expected

Hoping someone could help me. My window to choose tickets opens tomorrow morning. Do they invoice you or do you need to pay for those memberships right then and there? Appreciate any ones insight please.

How many ITW members do you guys have?? Will everyone get a seat at the new stadium

There's something like 10,000 ITW members, each eligible for up to 2 adult and 2 children tickets. Most of us here don't think we'll get through much more than 4,000-5,000ITW members depending on the take up of 3 and 5 game memberships.

Yeah, moving 40,000 existing members and 13,000 new members to a new stadium with a different setout and keeping them all in their requested groups at their requested price range should have taken a week tops.

What a cluster **** though, i mean really, the most important part of this entire process is getting asses on seats, and its the one job they have left till the last minute. It's just bizarre.
I think they may have been concerned that the longer they could delay telling ITW members they would not be getting seats the more that would just pay their membership again.
I will keep paying regardless as I see it as club membership not just a waiting list but I think quite a few might drop off realising that they could still be many years away from getting a seat.

I don't think WCE would be that concerned... money isnt an issue.

No point looking for a conspiracy - it just a mammoth task to get this sorted. The dodgy 'restricted seats' that the stadium didn't point out hasn't helped. But the biggest delay was signing the contract last year that pushed everything back months.

Exactly, the deal to play at the stadium wasn't signed until Oct 22nd. Happened to be bang on when half the organisation would have been on holidays also.
They had to move all noteholders and corporates first, then current members, then in the wings. All of those groups in staggered waves. And make sure all of those groups were sorted, happy and paid up before moving onto the next.

Not the easiest job. Sure they probably could have done some things better but it is what it is - not like they have experience doing this ever before.

sitting at #3758, and getting nervous...
what numbers are we up to for ITW members?

I was 3025 or so and got my tickets today. 2 adults 2 children in a block just forward of the wing on the very back row. It seemed like there was still quite a few tickets available though.

I'm a touch over #3,500 haven't heard anything yet but based on that I'm hoping to hear something in the next day or two.
Yeah i had lost hope. Then my window opened but my browser wouldn't open the bloody seat map properly. After stressing out for about 20 mins, i was sorted. I think you should be ok 3500 or so. How many seats are you looking to get?

That's awesome that you managed to get something. Congrats!

We are hoping for 4 but I'm willing to sacrifice the kids ;) what was availability like? Did they email you yesterday?
