It'd be nice if they let flexi members reserve their seats off of the interactive map, there's clearly plenty of seats in 502/503/507/508/509, but instead I get thrown the same seats in 505/506.

Edit: If you want to reserve a seat in 509 you have to search for category 5 in the flexi portal (except it's a cat 6 block), which charges you an extra $20, even though 502-509 is supposed to be our area.

Any ITW types get a seat, what sort of turnup in the GA area?
My first game at the new stadium and it was pretty full where I was (549), but the section next to me which is an alcohol free zone had a heap of spare seats. Big parts of sections 327 & 328 (I think) were empty but I was watching ticketmaster during the week and they wanted $88 or $99 for those tickets which would probably put people off. They said the crowd was something like 51777 during the last quarter. Seemed to be a fair few spare seats right up the top behind the goals as well.
I was in the very back row and had a 15 year member sitting next to me, he said the club put him there because he called them up and wanted to be on the 50m line and could only afford $500. He was getting pretty agitated though because most of the GA people around us could not sit down for more than 10 minutes at a time and we kept having to stand up for people coming and going. He ended up getting pissed off and disappeared at half time. But he said that he's probably going to give up the membership and use it on foxtel next season. Bit of a worrying time for the club I think because I'd bet there's quite a few in his boat.

There's a fair few people who'd like his membership and pay $$ to get better seating

So far there's been 5000+ seats free for every game, that guy isn't stopping anyone from going to the game if they want to go. Seats were pretty good as well tbh.

Yes but because we historically haven't people don't just think about going to the Eagles. That will slowly change.
I also think the club needs to revisit pricing, tickets to individual games feel very expensive. If I hadn't been offered an 11game membership and was still ITW then I'd probably only go to 2-3 home games and maybe a trip east/Adl for a game.

The club has enjoyed an amazing period where it hasn't had to work hard to sell its product to us. That will hopefully start to change which is good for us as members/fans. We'll still be in the top rich clubs regardless but it might mean a better value product for us.

I believe the club have managed the transfer of stadiums very well - seems to have been very few 11 game members going for a lesser package, & I'd expect many to consider for 2019, then renew on 11 games, indicating the offer is meeting the market.

It would be good if the club gave a progress report.

Got my Flexi offer just now, my instincts straight up tell me to jump on the 5 game membership, particularly if that amounts to $34 per game.

Anything i should know before i commit to this fellas?
Is it a dud deal? Any others that have purchased it and don't like it? What does this do to your waitlist position?

Not obsessed, just a fan.

The whole "just rock up and scan your card then walk up to the GA area" is a bit strange for me personally. Surely that means everyone runs straight to blocks 502 or 509 to get the best seats as close to the wing as possible right?

I'll probably only go for the 1 in demand game on the 20/05, as my missus is a Richmond supporter and clearly a halfwit.

Is that how the 3-5 game memberships work? I got an 11 game membership in 510 right on the edge of 509 and I bought my daughter a ticket to the GC game (which allowed me to buy the seat just across the aisle in 509 from my seat), so I know it's possible to buy specific seats in that section (and the others that are in the GA area).

Haven't been able to test the GA aspect to it yet as all the games so far have been the fully reserved games, first one will be against Port Adelaide, think I'll have to go early to sit where I want.

Still hate that we can't select seats on the interactive map like you would if you were just buying a normal ticket, got lucky with the GC game, getting row 1 and seat 1, but the Geelong game I ended up just buying a ticket somewhere else, too much hassle dealing with the archaic lucky dip system giving me shit seats. Thinking I might just buy a regular ticket for the rest of the fully reserved games so I can use my allocated games on the non fully reserved matches.

I just this afternoon was offered a 5 game membership, its finally happening after waiting 7 years.

It doesn't affect your wait list possie one bit mate.

So stoked right now.:D:thumbsu:
Yeap first in best dressed but ***** it there is 3 bars on the 2nd tier that you can stand in a drink beers if you are not happy with your seats, grab them and assess.
For me I'm hooked, love this new team and our stadium.

I got an offer too after all these years. You sure it doesn't affect your position in line for a full membership?

Read this post mate, but you'd be better off ringing the Club if you feel uneasy.
For those wanting to know what happens re: the ability to upgrade to higher memberships - spoke to a lady today when I confirmed my membership what happens.

Unlike the guy I spoke to the other day, this one sounded very confident.

Basically, whether you stay on ITW or accept a flexi/front row/cheersquad membership - it doesn't matter.

What does matter is your length of tenure. So if you have been ITW for 6 years and then become flexi for 4 years - you are a 10 year member.

If you are currently 7 years ITW and stay ITW for another 4 years because you don't like the options - then you are an 11 year member and would get priority.

Personally - I think that is the simplest and fairest solution actually.
