Brendon Ah Chee (ankle) 4 weeks
Oscar Allen (shin) 4 weeks
Josh Kennedy (ankle) 3-4 weeks
Eric Mackenzie (toe) Indefinite
Nathan Vardy (adductor) 5 weeks

Sneezy in that twilight zone where he's always four weeks away, no matter how long it's been. It was originally a four-week injury when he went down four weeks ago. Actually scratch that, it was originally a rolled ankle.

However Vardy's improved a bit after being 6-8 weeks last week.
High ankle sprain. Sounds like he is entering the JJK/Scooter twilight zone

Our medical staff are legit the worst so none of this surprises

It's funny how quickly people write off ruckmen when they're unfit or working their way back to form.

But if you wanna look through Lycett's career games, large majority of them are very productive. Racks up good possession + score assists for a big man, is above avg at getting his hands to the ball and is one of the scarier big mofos around when he tackles. The very idea of getting a FA 2nd rd compo pick for him and hunting another ruck is the biggest roundabout merrygoround bullshit thing I can think of, no upside at all.

Ah but the trick is not to chase another ruckman but instead get a 191cm forward or a half back flanker that could be a mid one day.

I'll ask about Ah Chee tomorrow.

About round 5 or 6 (Derby) for everyone, except Ezy...they're still looking for him in the twilight zone?
some good games coming up at OS- cats, freo, port, tigers...

Naitanui showed he could play as a permanent forward. He is our highest pressure player and shit just happens when he is around the ball amd opposition poop it especially on the last line.
Id experiment with Lycett 70 naita 30 and nic can spend more time on ground up forward for better team balance
Given that the success of our side (at least the midfield) comes soo much down to Naitanui in the Ruck, I wouldn't be taking him away from that position anytime soon. I don't think Naitanui has a good enough leading pattern to be primarily a forward and his contested marking isn't at an elite level. He has handy agility for a big bloke, but between the choice of him and an actual crumber like Ryan/Rioli, I'd pick the latter two every day of the week.

Too much of our clearance game goes to crap when Naitanui isn't in the ruck.

East Perth are going to shine in the talls area at some stage this year.

You must be right.
No other team has any serious injuries at all.
Maybe we should poach the Dockers Medical Team .
They have done a wonderful job with Harley Bennell,

We are working on the basis that the West Coast players do as they are asked during rehab rather than go on a bender. Tilts the scale against the Freo medical staff.

Oscar Allen out for another month? Had no idea he was injured, just thought he needed to build up fitness.

Doesn’t bode well for becoming the BBIBWBLF

Does the date insinuate the time until the player returns to training or first game? 4 weeks might be his mini pre season until he's ready for selection

Sounds like the latter.

“We’re really excited with what he potentially brings to the group. He’s put a hell of a lot of work into his recovery and he’s now entering that next bit where he’s doing a lot of the main training. It’s basically his mini pre-season. We’re hopeful that he’ll be back in a few weeks, around AFL five."

So basically I am the medicos.

So you're the guy responsible for Rioli always getting injured? And for Kennedy missing the start of the year and continually getting pushed back?

Get him, fellas!
