bring in peter burgoyne only if it is the last game he will ever play for thr pafc.

tom logan wont be omitted because choco said he played his role.

ebert must be omitted.

thustans must be omitted.

cassisi to get proper treatment on his head.

westhoff to remain in the sanfl.

I can't even think of who to bring in. Gray if he will be fit.

Bring in broadbent, or whichever young bloke has even the potential to be a part of our next premiership 22.

bit harsh on cassisi, obviously not his best game, but still had
21 touches
9 tackles
8 clearances (game high)
8 contested possessions

^not so much on his performance (though it has dipped generally since being hit, where previously he was constantly amongst our best 2-3 players in matches), but because our season is over so let's get the captain right for 2010, meaning lets get him to complete as best a pre-season as is possible, the chances of which will be increased by getting him treated now.

Can we just have one game of 100% man-on-man football to make each player accountable (and to minimise the influence of Choco's coaching)? It would be an easy way of seeing who the passengers are, rather than being able to hide in a zone or use the excuse of being an outside player. (I hate the fact that we even have that role at our club).

Yeah... I would expect:

- Lade to stay in, announce retirement this week, and play in his send-off game.
- Expect P Burgoyne to come in, announce retirement this week and play in send-off game.
- Josh Carr to announce retirement and sit on bench for send off game.
and hope...
- Mark Williams to announce he will be a playing coach, announce his retirement and have his send off game this week. :D

Time for a token win!

I honestly can't see Lade or Carr retiring.

I honestly can't see Lade ... retiring.

Is at the end of his contract, has just turned 33 and his numbers have only just surpassed last year's effort despite playing three more games.

If he goes around one more year he'll leave the list as we run into the compromised GC17 draft.

So what are our motives for keeping him on?

Buying time for Lobbe - who should be cherry ripe to debut in '10 with another preseason under his belt - or playing each week with 21 men?

If he looked increasingly like a dinosaur in 2008 and 2009, how stiff and slow will he look in six months' time?

^I don't disagree with you, but I just can't see him retiring.

Lade has already suggested that he'd like to go around next year, has been backed by our #1 ruckmen to go around next year within the past week, and I can imagine choco keeping him on either as 2nd or 3rd ruckman (in his mind) with respect to what should be Lobbe's first year in the big time.

If they are gonna play 5 players in farewell games I don't know if I will go. Send them around in a car, not on the field.

I am tired of this Lobbe stuff also, he has been performing really well and he looks no less ready than a Ryder, Mtich Clarke, Vickery, Natanui (Don't confuse this comment with being as good as).
Broadbent should have come in for Logan last week, Farmer has imporved his consistency sinse moving and should be given games.

I am very angry at our club and coach right now.

Sorry guys, but if Peter Retires he deserves a farewell match, He was part of our inaurgrial squad, was a star in our Premiership side, Abboriginal team of the Century, one of our greatest players to don the Teal, My personal oppinion has him 6th in our 10 best players. The season is gone, why not? If Peter comes in with Broadbent, Lobbe, Trengove and Farmer I would be happy.

LADE and BURGOYNE retirement matches!

If we give PB a send-off, I want to see him roving in the forward pocket.

if Peter Retires he deserves a farewell match

Totally agree. Ditto Lade of course. I hope his situation is resolved well before saturday. If we ARE keeping Lade for another year just as backup and mentor then get it done and announce it... and play LOBBE this week. If not then let's give Lade the farewell game he truly deserves.

Carr OTOH is contracted, don't see why he would chuck it in -> anyway his farewell game will always be GF 2004 :)

I heard Gray is unlikely to come up this week.

Ebert out for Broadbent.

Thurstans out for D. Stewart or Trengove, even Farmer. Take your pick.

Carr's farewell match will be the 2010 Grand Final!

if hawthorn beats essendon then you will know exactly how much you need to defeat the kangas before your game starts to make the 8. its very unlikely but you'd think they'd at least have a crack at it.

Ins- Lobbe, Broadbent, Farmer & Banner
Outs- Take you pick!

And whilst we are on the subject of Ins & Outs.

For 2010

Out- Peter Rhode
In- Dean Laidley (Football Operations Manager)
