Something prompted me to do a Google Image search for West Coast Eagles and the third picture is of our boys being **** and playing the circle game after winning a derby (a Fox Sports link).

Other clubs have none of that. None of Riewoldt similarly being a tit when you search for Richmond. The worse any other club gets is Adelaide's power stance or dejected looking photos after a loss.

If the GIS algorithm is showing that for West Coast only there must be a greater hunger to consume negative content about our club than any other in the AFL.

Barrass being pansted by 2m Peter in a half of footy seemed to be the kick up the arse he needed to engage God Mode for the rest of the season too.

The A-League is a little more national than the VFL. Unlike soccer, the non-grand-final-state clubs are in the minority and even then some of those minority state clubs are run by the league. The 5 clubs that matter in that regard would need to leave the league, and then hope it implodes on itself.

There's a reason it's the second most popular code of football in the countries that have their own code.

That is a really good point. Everywhere that has another code (Aussie Rules, League, Rugby) prefers their code over soccer.

Those codes are just generally more exciting.

Plus the crowds are generally well-behaved, so it doesn't feel like going to a gang fight in a Maccas car park when you attend a game.
