Tom Williams didnt play. This John Shaw bloke realy suprised huge bloke great build and mobile.

I got the game late and was nicely surprised by a few of the younger , bigger kids as well as the other players that have already been mentioned.
Would have liked to have seen Tom Williams play, even for a small period of the game.

I have been a Cam Wight supporter, but after his efforts yesterday and what I saw of the kids........ it's bye bye Cam.

Anyone want to enlarge upon this report of Shaw? How good is his tapwork and around the ground work?

I have just checked with Mrs White City - she says he was quite good - number 43 - big, strong fellow, good tap work, took some marks, - she thought a better proposition than Skipper if Hudson and Minson falter or get injured - but is a rookie. Williamstown will have a top notch ruckman this season and who knows in the future??

Thanks.

For once it looks like we have at least two (Cordy makes 3?) genuine ruckman prospects in the wings.

All we need now is a CHF.....

Didn't he once rack up 45 hitouts in a single TAC Cup game (albeit as a 19yo)?

Will Malcolm Lynch be the Josh Hill in Dreamteam this year? or atleast score high in the first few games? will he be a certain round 1 starter if he shows some form in the remaining preseason games?

ABSOLUTELY CHAMP !! :thumbsu:

I have been watching him very very closely this preseason and will tell you he is definitely going to play round 1. In fact he will definitely play 20+ games if he stays injury Free.

He is amazing by how many kicks and marks and handballs he gets. Also lets not forget all his pressure and he averages at least 6+ tackles game.

Mate go for him he will be the NAB Rising star

Has he bulked up at all? I recall him being slight.

Not so much bulked up, but is extremely lean.

Just a very smooth mover. I'm spewing I missed the intra-club match because from the little I saw of him this time 2 years ago, he showed enough to be my fav of our draftees along with with Harbrow.

Would like to confirm the Wight should not be playing and really he doesn't look like he wants to be there.

No surprises there. Your exactly right. I watched the whole game and he was lucky to get 2 possessions. He was absolutely woeful, and looked completely dis interested and didn't look remotely like a footballer who was trying to push for a spot in the seniors

Bye Bye Cam !

I was very impressed with Cordy and Roughead. Griffen had the ball on a string too ! ( he was a class above most out there yesterday ):D

Cordy might be a suripise to play abit earlier than people think. And also looking roughead has the body to play acouple games.

Can you tell us why you think that? How good has his pre season been? Which players would he get games above? I think there's a spot for him on the wing, but i think we need to see a bit more consistency.

hahahhahha

I probably didn't make it clear enough.

I was pulling that guys leg. I told him Lynch was a gun so he would spend money on him to by him in his dream team :D

Aren't you the comedian.

It is known that the coaching staff hold Lynch's qualities in high regard. If he can get himself fit and find some early season form he may well find himself in the team and therefore might turn out to be a smart investment.
