Opinion Is Adams in the Best 21 in 2014?

On Blair and Goldsack...I actually think both need to be in the side.

But as forwards purely. They bring more tackling pressure than any one else.

Fair Enough Comment. You would think he is best 21 when you trade 1 of our better players.

He fits into the best 22 without a doubt, in fact he's a starting 18 player in my eyes. Given his numbers around the stoppagess, his tackling pressure and ferocity on the ball carrier, it's that manic desperation and tenacity we've really lacked in the past few seasons since 2010/2011. Given that Adams had more first possessions won at the centre circle for gws (more than Callan Ward) and had more goals score as a result as his forward 50 entries than any other GWS player, to me not only is he solid stoppage player, but he's a very important avenue to goal.

I wonder if he might be played predominantly further up the field, still as an in-and-under midfielder but tasked with the job of creating turnovers in the forward half. When we have the ball creating that link to goal. I realise that is Blair's forte but just a thought.

I'd personally have him coming off a half forward flank and rotating through the midfield

He is certainly going to be in front of a 30 y.o. Luke Ball but both will be immense next year.

Starting 18 easy.

I say that Steel will go back and play Shaw's attacking defender role. Adams to take Steels role in the midfield rotations.So in terms of best 22 Shaw out Adams in.
