I've always disliked the self-serving corrupt Carlton but saved a special angst for Collingwood (after the events of the 80's. Now I've changed my mind and after trawling other team threads I think it would be safe to say the Carlton is the new 'Most hated club in the AFL'. But, whereas Collingwood had the mantle mainly due to their strength on the ground Carlton has done so as a result of their self-defeating thievery.

The "corrupt" tag is pretty subjective to be honest. The things we were penalized for, other teams were doing at the time, and other teams are doing now on an even bigger scale. e.g. the recent Pav salary cap avoiding property deal. The only difference was that we were penalized, but other Clubs weren't. No matter. That's history, and we managed to turn it around and look like being stronger than ever now. It did temporarily set us back a couple of years though. Nabbing picks #1 and #3 was just a tiny step toward righting some incredible injustices.

So...It's OK because others were doing the same thing? Sounds like a justification for lots of criminal activities doesn't it. Obviously because Carlton got caught and the others didn't, CFC was just stupid about it and are being penalised for that.

As for the justification that 'the afl made the system, we're just using it'. If someone leaves their keys in the car, and you steal it, it's still wrong.

Hardly "criminal" activities. lol. Just a question of what and what shouldn't be included under the salary cap. The AFL "make up" their vague open-to-interpretation rules (not Law), and decide who they will and won't penalise. It has nothing to do with Justice or the Law, and everything to do with politics and certain AFL bosses trying to further their careers e.g. Demtriou's rise to the top job.

Livingston is gone and mistakes are rectified. The club has done a backflip in terms of off-field performance and in terms of potential for the list. Can't say the same for Richmond. And on the matter of 'high regard', I never expected for Collingwood supporters such as yourself to give us any regard anyway.

We all know that when the premierships come around, no one remembers or even gives a **** about the hard years it took to get there. Look at Collingwood in the 90's - not a word said about those years once the Grand Finals of 2002-3 arrived. No one cares that Hawthorn have been celler dwellers the past 5 years.

And the same will happen once our time comes. Whether people believe our club tanked or not (personally, its a crapfull of speculation lit up by the media to a great extent), our next premiership won't be 'tainted' or 'cheated' in any way, shape or form. Anyone who thinks otherwise is senseless and is simply trying to take it away from us.

Kennedy has barely played a dozen games and Walker is coming out of his shell. They won't both be complete bombshells from the get go. Hell, even Daniel Wells hasn't came of age yet. Get over yourself.
