Is Smith likely to become a midfielder in a few years?

Who knows but he’ll be handy on the wing or half back. We’ll fix our midfield this year with picks 1, 3 and 5

Just havent got enough natural forwards. We load our forward line with small defenders with no goal sense, evasiveness or aerial ability.
At least Toce has acknowledged this by drafting an attacking marking forward in Grey. It's a start.

Spot on with the lockdown stuff, a lot of that gets taught in one of the earliest ‘strategic’ lessons in junior footy these days. If you’re getting whalloped in the middle, put a god damn arm across someone at the stoppage and stop the flow. Once you’ve halted that adrenaline and momentum, then you can be a bit more proactive.

This actually drives me absolutely wild. Go back over alllll our losses this year and in almost every one there is a period of 15 mins in a game where the oppo puts up 5-6 goals. Happens every week

was brilliant here to shark the loose footy ahead of both Fantasia and Walsh and to steady with a laser-worm-burner to Balta's chest. Beautiful play.

Taranto taking advantage gets it towards Balta who does very well 2on1 to get a hand on it and tackle Weitering after the fall of the ball which led to the ball squirting out to Baker

Bolton getting his kick smothered by McKay actually helped the ball go to Hopper I50 who then smartly gets the ball to Kozi and Taranto finishes nicely between a couple of smother attempts

From Miller's excellent intercept mark to Balta's jumping mark, right through to Kozi's excellent contested mark and goal. Smooth play.

Miller brilliantly beats Curnow 1on1 here. Hopper beautifully delivers to a crowded forward 50 and hits up Kozi

Baker superbly smothers the McGovern handballa nd gets it out towards Balta who amazingly manages to toe it off the ground and KMac obliges by clearing his leg out of the way to let the ball through his legs for a goal
