You haven't learnt a thing from 2003 have you? Now that Collingwood have a tougher draw .... no Grand Final for you!!!!

No moron, there is a difference.

Collingwood receive an AFL-rigged ride EVERY YEAR. The pies always ensure minimum travel, and get to play "blockbuster" games twice a year against powerhouse sides in Richmond and Carlton.

Hawthorn, like most clubs, are at the mercy of a random draw. We got lucky.

There is a difference between luck and AFL-endorsed cheating.

Oh I see, we were crap for years and had to play Carlton and Essendon every year whilst they were winning flags, but now some of them are having a bit of a rough trot we better start getting selective of ladder positioning and take those games off us as we would never want to see some easy wins for the good ol Pies.

Collingwood have actually won 3 flags in 50 years. Get ya facts right. If you want to go into the past you'll lose.

In 2002 Collingwood travelled to Perth twice and got done in the G/f by the 9 pts, this year they didnt travel there and got their asses kicked well and truly. That comment above is therefore refuted. LOL.

I'm happy for the hawks. I can't remember them having an easy draw.

You're right there. Normally our draw is one of the worst. So its great to get a good one finally.....

Collingwood never travel interstate more than 4 teams - they never have and never will. If only you could get a good draw every year!

Don't forget though, last year we didn't have trouble with the top 8 sides - just couldn't beat the ****e sides...

My memory is fading but I seem to remember seeing them play in more GFs than your mob. And I have seen your mob lose plenty too.

And in the years Hawthorn and COllingwood have both been in the comp they have each won 9. They all count the same unfortunately for some.

Yea but Greg old son.. getting to see GF's or getting to see winning Premiers? Thats the difference and 8 - 4 win/loss ratio? I'll take that (and I have)! :) ps remember the last bloke that took your lot to the top was a... Hawthorn man.. and the last bloke that stopped your lot getting to the top.. twice.. was a ... Hawthorn man. :)

Re the draw, yea sweet. :) Don't mean squat unless we win the bloody games though.

Or when they last won the spoon. Most were when the pies did however.:)

There were no complaints from other supporters a few years back when Collingwood still had blockbuster games and had the same amount of travel and they finished near the bottom of the ladder. Now that they are playing a better brand of football its an all in.

What I want to know is why only West Coast and Fremantle are scheduled to annually play in tassie? Whats wrong with the other interstate teams? Do Hawthorn request it? I'm sure we would request not to play there. Its a 8-9 hour flight. Thats like a Melbourne team flying to Bangkok and trying to win a game there.

Hawks Vs Weagles/Freo couldnt draw a crowd in Melbourne with a crayon. For the HFC, anyteam for that matter, to make a profit at the MCG a crowd of 30,000 plus is required.

The Hawks make a substantial profit taking the games against interstate clubs to Launceston.

I think that Hawthorn's draw is pretty handy.

In fact it is very similar to Collingwood's draw.

How is that? Please explain? we have to play 4 finalists twice while Hawthorn play 2 finalists twice, not to mention the travel factor. Are you to blinded by Collingwood hate?

Hawthorn's draw looks good, but you can only assess things at the end of the season.

It doesn't matter that Hawthorn is only penned in to play 2 of this year's finalists twice, as we can't be certain of how this year's finalists will come-up next year.

I bet the thought of playing Richmond twice looked good late in 2000, as did the idea of playing Collingwood twice in late 2001, and playing Sydney twice at this time last season.

The competition doesn't remain stationary, and you can almost guarantee that 2-3 sides will slip out of the eight next year, while 2-3 sides will trade up.

maybe when your team earns the right to play in 8 grand finals in 9 years (if that happens hopefully for your sake its not against the Lions) then you can mouth off. ;)

How can a Collingwood supporter start a thread like this after the draw they got this year:rolleyes: Collingwood travelled four times for the whole year including the Wizard Cup:rolleyes: Any are having a go at Hawthorn please...................What you upset cause Collingwood in 2004 are actually going to find out that a city called Perth actually exists:rolleyes:
