He's not overrated anymore, but that's more because nobody really hypes him up much now. Solid 2nd stringer at most clubs, but needs a more damaging mid around him to best utilize him.

Sure. I look forward to the same energy when Carlton wish to move one of their older, slower mids on in favour of younger and/or quicker talent. No, only a fool would question the merit of picking up Macrae for a bag of chips. It's a sensational deal for St Kilda, and they did extremely well exploiting Beveridge's stupidity and incompetence.
Voss hasn't been given 10 years, not does he get a final say on list management decisions. Bevo has had the power to overrule list management for about 8 years now, which is why you keep recruiting garbage players like Ryan Gardner lol.
Only an unintelligent poster would attempt to correlate a career spanning across two clubs under very different circumstances with Beveridge's tenure at the Bulldogs.9 years across 2 clubs is close enough surely?
Are you related to Jack Macrae by any chance? We had Andrew Dunkley posting in our threads a few years back. Was unhinged like your current posts Mikey.

I also notice you are choosing not to address any arguments specifically, instead opting to attack me directly like certain other reactionary posters.
By all means keep believing I'm related to Macrae if it helps you feel better, but at the end of the day, I'm hardly the only footy observer who understands how bad of a coach Beveridge is.
I'd rather give a man 10 years with some control over his football club then 5 men no control over that same time.Only an unintelligent poster would attempt to correlate a career spanning across two clubs under very different circumstances with Beveridge's tenure at the Bulldogs.

Spot onSt. Kilda is the perfect fit for Macrae. Do they even have one other good midfielder?
Macrae is clearly still a good player but who is he playing in the midfield at the Dogs ahead of in Bont, Libba, Treloar or Richards?
It was a mutual decision to allow him to play his best role at a club that has no good midfielders. We picked up an adequate replacement in Kennedy for half the cost, three years younger and a far better ability to play as a half forward.
Win win.
