Don't think they'll move Oliver, but I am amazed there hasn't been more talk about a big move for a key forward.

They're in the window now and would just about be flag favourites heading into next season with a competent tall target in the forward 50.

Paying big for Tom Lynch makes perfect sense for them, as it does the Tigers to accept a big offer should one come his way.

Richmond on the other hand has a 1st next year but don't enter this year's draft until 26, which is almost certain to be pushed out beyond 30.

Tigers fans may say it doesn't make sense given what they did last trade period, but I'd say those moves didn't make sense. One in particular looks horrific at this stage, but they can rectify the situation somewhat.

Lynch has done great things at Richmond but they're not winning another flag any time soon. With a new head coach they may well see this as a great opportunity to get some good picks in to start afresh.

Once his compo is decided, there is absolutely zero of interest with anything, for anyone. Just some mind numbing haggling over some semi-usable lateish picks for some semi-useable players.

I can understand the argument but I wouldn't say it's necessarily an obvious deal......

Correct and also because next years free agency pool is way better than this years.
We will be quiet this off season but will go very hard next year when we will have a lot of retirements and a stack of cash.

In general this years trade period will be quiet across the board bc next years draft is very good and most teams wont want to trade 2024 picks.
