What about Melbourne having a 3 on 1 in the center and Carlton all down the line? The kick that set up Pickett was due to coaching as much as a bad bounce.

It was a brilliant late game move and poor reply from Carlton but I can’t remember a side fanning their backline across the middle and leaving a spare at the stoppage and backline like Melbourne did. Not sure many coaches would’ve had the counter in that situation.

Even with that easier draw that @Aar0w banged on about last year we made the finals.

Carlton all jokes aside should be on the periphery again kf making finals. More games under the belt of the 3rd and 4th tier guys in finals like situations like todays and they could very well make some serious damage next year.

Collingwood have done it all year but after today it is no fluke they get the job done. Well done Pies, bad luck blues. Was a cracking game

We were atrocious in the first half, sensational in the third quarter and then tried to "hold the match" in the last instead of continuing to play all out attacking footy. This played into the Pie hands, they had every reason to go for broke that point.
