France and Spain are calling for an arms embargo on Israel. When is any western country except Ireland going to stand up to the extemist Netanyahu regime?
Isreal are broke now. It's a start though. Having the US all alone will send a message. Israel's economy will collapse eventually given people are fleeing and all the men are being deployed to an expending war which would need even more people.
France and Spain are calling for an arms embargo on Israel.
They'll never stop the US supply of weapons, though.
The one threat the west can make is to refuse to buy US-made weapons while those weapons are also being supplied to a genocide. Threaten the war-profits is the only way to stop war-profiteering.
i'm no fan of iran. but israel has been a far greater aggressor than iran. not only with their violence but with their supply of arms to other countries, many of whom are dodgy. recommend you read antony loewenstein book.It gets messy, if there was a big arms embargo, Iran might take advantage of the situation.
Wish the Israeli's would just stop what they are doing.
Israel a population 9.4 mill are really cocky in expecting millions of soldiers from other countries to protect them.
Bunch of privileged Europeans. Yes Europeans. From German, Austrian, Polish ancestry
They were just a poor little underdog with a new army formed entirely out of terrorist organisations and with Prime Ministers who also mostly were ex-terrorists.had Israel not embarked on the traumatic and hostile occupation of part of the arabian peninsula involving attacking the fundamental rights of palestinians from the day the state of Israel was settled, they would have no need to fear anyone. added to which its hostile interference in other matters in which they did not need to involve themselves. not to mention supplying arms and technology to several players who were antithetical to peace.
Washington Post:
The Israeli attack on Iran will be carried out before November 5, election day in the United States
It is pretty shattering and crosses my mind at least once a day.How much can a heart break? Hearing the pain and suffering of Palestinians every single day has changed me for the rest of my life. I cannot imagine how it feels to be a Palestinian survivor right now with most of the powerful countries stepping aside to let the US and the Israelis murder all of their relatives and friends.
We live in such an unjust and messed up world right now.
'Ireland is not going to “wait” for the rest of the EU to take action against extremist Israeli settlers, the country’s prime minister has said, amid growing frustration in Dublin and Madrid over Brussels’ perceived inaction.
On his way into a cabinet meeting in Dublin, Simon Harris said he Ireland is “not going to wait for consensus” in the EU to take action.
It comes as Ireland looks afresh at drating legislation which could block imports of products made in the occupied territories.
Such laws were considered in 2020 but it is thought a stronger legal case exists in the wake of July’s International Court of Justice advisory opinion that there were multiple breaches of international law in the occupation of Palestinian territories.' Guardian live blog
