you do know the 5 permanent members of the un have veto powers over other than procedural matters, don’t you? you do israel’s proxy -the us - has used that power on many occasions to stop meaningful action against israel? pretty much all they can do is holler about the inhumanity and callous terrorism whenever they can.

The best signal to me, would be if Iran do strike back. If their air defences were really taken out, they'd be stupid to fire back and wouldn't.

If they feel safe, they might launch.

I think they'll go for something a bit more close-up from a range of directions. I think they've been putting stuff in place across multiple countries. Israel think they've been effectively whack-a-moling it, but I'm not sure. They've had intel failures in the past....

Iran does not need to be close up to hit Israeli targets as they proved on 1st october you know the one I mean where you actually saw the damage caused.As I said Israel planned for almost 4 weeks to hit back and waited for 3 Thadd batteries to be in place in Israel and they are proving to be every bit as unsuccessful as the Iron dome as shown by Hezbollahs latest rock attacks you know the one,s where you actually see what has been damaged.

No intel failures on Israel,s behalf they are just telling you more lies they have no proof as to their success or not unlike the damage we have seen from Iran and Hezbollah.

yeh i know how the UN operates or fails to operate. I know that it's these people's jobs to go to the UN building in new york and talk about genocide... and if gov'ts order them to stop then they'll just stay in their offices writing more reports unless gov'ts order them to stop doing that...

so it's a bureaucratic thing. I dont see the point of the UN in its current structure. You could argue that it provides some method to communicate the issues to the world but the average joe and jill dont bother with it. It's irrelevant even before it starts...

maybe i'm too harsh. Here are the successes of UN peacekeeping in the last 80 years....

Will go down as one of the worst Presidencies in history. Worse than Carter after everyone comes clean about it being a Genocide and when Russia retains parts of Ukraine and eventually invades again. Biden will be remembered as a puppet who didn't do anything but take the easiest path.

Jimmy Carter has been very unfairly judged by history,he commanded his own ship in the US Navy and he is a hundred already or only a few months off and he is a very lucid person and he speaks a great deal of sense a decent man is former president Jimmy Carter.
