Cassisi and legend in the same sentence represents the worst mis-use of the word I can recall.
Sadly true, the fact that Cassisi was the best option for captain at the time, is actually the clearest indicator of how low the club had sunk.

Sure looks like a conflict of interests

I get that there might not be conflict of interest, but there’s a risk — and it’s not a small one.

We are beyond risk at this point. Success can hide those conflicts, but we don’t have even that. There are open signs of conflict.

Friendships and other business are clearly being prioritized over the club’s best interests.

Port has won 2 finals since CD joined. What an elite, high performing environment he has created since joining after the 2014 season
Technically 4.

He joined us in late August 2014, as Peter Rohde took him thru his training wheel phase. Rohde officially finished up as GM Football Operations in mid December 2014, when the club closed up shop for the Christmas break.

The idea of Chris Davies is much better than the reality.

The club announced his appointment in August but he didn’t start officially until November 2014

Unless his comments re Duursma were taken out of context or that recent interview was cut and spliced, I suspect being absolutely truthful may not be one of Davie's strong points.

It is possible of course that some of kern's `have I got a deal for you!' from his used car salesman's days, or even koch's `I'm a professional bull shitter!' may have rubbed off on him though.

Reckon Damo is struggling for relevancy this trade period and will say just about anything. Twomey, Morris, Edmund, and Beveridge have gone past him imo.

My favourite ‘Purple’ moment was when ‘the best newsbreaker in the business’ dropped the bombshell on The Footy Show that Carlton were knackers-deep into, a very strong chance of, extremely confident they were getting young Ollie Wines to defect to Princes Park.

Wines inked an umpteen year extension the following morning.
