Also said his wife's family are all quite against vaccinations. Courtney's brother is a chiro or something and he's stopped that line of work due to the mandates and is now looking for other work.

In short Novavax is like a standard flu-jab and is protein based (i.e. it gives you a measured quantity of a 'dead/deactivated' version of the virus) and your body produces antibodies on that basis. Delivery method has been used for decades and side effects from all reports are negligible.

mRNA vaccines (Pfizer/Moderna) use a spike protein that causes your body to 'produce' the virus which is why some people get sicker than others (some people produce a lot more of the virus than others and the quantity produced differs from person to person). Delivery method quite new, so long term whilst believed to be safe some people are hesitant.

Viral Vector vaccines (Astra Zenica) are somewhere in the middle.

I'm vaccinated. It's better than not being for one who wants to protect against Covid depending on personal situation. My argument is the lack of choice. You know, that thing Democracy is supposed to be about.

Also, you'd have to break that data up by cohort. For example, what is the chance of a healthy 20 to 30 year old being hospitalised by Covid and suffering serious damage versus the same cohorts risk of a serious side effect like Myocarditis. Alot of European countries for example have banned Moderna for these age groups.

Choice is key. I prefer not to go down the authoritarian route out of some misguided fear.

If voting was optional, half the population wouldn't bother voting.

Some things do not warrant a choice. I cant understand why some people get angry over that. It becomes a bit of a stumbling point in a Democracy.

But we have medical experts working on this, I don't understand why people have a problem with trusting them with their advice to get the jab? I also don't understand why anyone would treat our politicians with utter disrespect and disdain. At the end of the day they're elected by the people and serving the country. I certainly wouldn't want their job.

If we left it to choice, 80% of WA probably wouldnt even be vaxxed right now (complacency) and we'd be in utter chaos right now (more than what we're experiencing).

When I buy a car I don't immediately want to break it down piece by piece to find any flaw and abuse the makers.... I generally just trust the manufacturer knows best and drive away.
