If he is transferred to the inactive list, he receives the CBA base salary, eg the AFL minimum. The 25% rule is for AFLW only.

The way it reads on the AFL site, it would be 25% of the CBA minimum salary, grammatically anyway. But it wouldn't surprise me if their grammar is inaccurate... given the usual quality of their journalism.

Wasn't the rumour that he was wating for Novavax? If so, he might have to wait a couple of weeks for supply, but could be back training shortly.

It's weird that he would do most of a preseason only to refuse all vaccination and retire.

All approved vaccines in Australia are rigorously examined by the TGA, an independent expert body, and they have all undergone the required clinical trials with countless participants, all fully vetted and examined in peer-reviewed journals. The original Pfizer one has even been given full FDA approval - that is, it has passed the most stringent vaccine safety protocols and it is now longer required to be approved under the emergency use authorisation powers that were initially used to get it into American arms as soon as practicable.

The disease has been proven to hospitalise and kill people in Novak's demographic - this is not in dispute, you can 'do your own research' and find plentiful evidence of that. You want to question the long term safety data of the vaccine - do you simultaneously believe there are no long term effects from actually catching COVID?

1 - We don't know what they can do in 5 years, sure - but do you know what COVID may still do 5 years from now? Are you hedging your bets on vaccines being damaging in the long term while COVID will have no long term effects?
2 - No, but that's not a certainty - otherwise healthy people are still dying from omicron - less lethal than delta can still be lethal.

I am prepared to call Novak and JD idiots and will stand by it.
