Surely he doesn’t get full pay to sit on the sidelines making his stance, this is where it is all wrong. Take his pay off him and watch how quick he gets vaccinated.
I think it's at 25% while he's stood down, although I'd expect us to negotiate a pay out to have him retire now like Liam Jones did.

Individuals who fail to comply with the vaccination protocols will be banned from attending club and AFL facilities to train and play.

The clubs will determine sanctions, if any, for players and staff who do not reach the vaccination policy requirements. There will be wide scope for the clubs – from no action at all through to termination of contracts, as well as reductions in wages.

At the clubs discretion

Oscar Allen in the ruck is over, which is a nice positive.

Probably holding out in hope that these ridiculous mandates will eventually be tossed in the trash because they do nothing to stop the spread of covid, that'd be my guess.
I read the post before the poster name and just knew who the poster was from the tripe contained in the post.

Just fyi a fully vaccinated positive case of covid sheds up to 6x less than an unvaxxed case.

At the clubs discretion

THE CONSEQUENCES

Players who have not been vaccinated in accordance with the above timelines and do not have a medical exemption can be:

- Transferred to the inactive player list and paid 25% (for AFLW) of their contracted salary or (for AFL) 25% of the CBA minimum base salary

- Kept on the playing list and paid not less than 25% (for AFLW) of their contracted salary or (for AFL) 25% of the CBA minimum base salary

- Terminated contract (with agreement of the player)

- Terminated contract via legal proceedings by the club (but not before May 18)

25% of base salary, which would be **** all

they don`t stop the spread , they stop the severity of the virus symptoms ..

I definetely don't want to start this whole debate again.

But surely the two are linked anyway?

It 100% lowers the severity of the virus symptoms. Some people don't even know they have/had covid. Therefore my logical assumption is they're not sneezing/coughing their way around town... so wouldn't that in turn mean less spread?

I think the correct thing to say is, if someone with covid sneezese or coughes into your mouth, you're going to get covid regardless if you're vaxxed or not. That would be my guess anyway?

Even if he turned around now and gets the first jab... would we even want him back. He'd need to apologise to the playing group first I would think?

Rocks for brains, or a tosspot. Or both.

Cya later Jack.

We weclomed back Cousins and Murray Newman who did worse, the path for redemption is there if he chooses it

Can't believe fans on the Facebook post drawing comparison between the Covid jab and Essendon's doping scandal. There's a genuine comparison piece about how players should stand up to the doctors at the club to protect their bodies. Some people are too far gone

good on him. footy is just a game and the mandate is insanely ******ed considering half the players over east got covid anyway.

Then don’t take your pay . It’s just a game as you say and how he can take his pay without doing what is required by his job.
