why is the new stand not called the Jack Dyer centre ? they have gone with another indigenous bloke again and removed jack dyers name
I'm curious to see if we actually will. We already have so much named after Dyer, but have such a long history with so many champions of the game, I wonder if we'll use this as an opportunity to recognise some other past greats instead.
Probably a poor example using the KGI... connection to culture and place runs much deeper than a man made object/construct. So I think using the central message of KGI is supporting not getting attached to the stand's physical existence

Im sad for the jack dyer stand as it holds so much tradition but it does look old and dated now.

The club largely neglected the stand for the decades I've been alive. Because of that little about the Jack Dyer Stand other than who it's named after gives me pride. Therefore my sentiment is bring on the redevelopment.
I do hope the new seating area does still end up with Jack Dyer's name still attached.
