mick molloys sisterThat John Belushi lookalike is not in the Greens.
There's 2 greens.I reckon there's only 4, I've marked them with green dots.
The others look pro-development.

FFS!!! It was the F*cking Chesser stand from 1914 to 1998. That's 84 years. Dave Chesser would have turned in his grave when it changed to the JDS. The RCC together with the RFC built it. Chesser was an RFC committeeman too. We can call any bloody replacement stand the Jack Dyer Stand. It was never built for Jack obviously because he wasn't there in 1913 playing footy.Everyone who has approved it is to blame. Jack Dyer's son got fed a balony sandwhich, Rhett doesn't want to rock the boat even though it's his paid job to preserve the history.
Benny and Peggy made the decision and used threats of leaving if they didn't get it approved.
I'm not sure it's in the best interests of members either.
You can have a redevelopment and keep the stand .
She is one of the greens membersThat John Belushi lookalike is not in the Greens.
I never seen so many supporters happy and excited to destroy a major part of their history.FFS!!! It was the F*cking Chesser stand from 1914 to 1998. That's 84 years. The stand should be condemned. Eventually, it will fall. It serves no purpose now. The next stand will have proper wheelchair access for the disabled too. It will be more inclusive. It will be modern. One day it will be replaced too. That's how things work. Only the Pyramids stand from 5000 years ago. The stand isn't built like them. Everything eventually comes down. It's just a matter of time. Now is the time to bring down this stand.
Can i buy a brick?That's interesting.
So despite the development decision being a Board one in the best interests of the members, you state the President is satisfying corporate interests and has bought off Rhett and Jack Dyer's Son.
Who are these corporate sponsors you speak of and how has she bought off Rhett and the Dyer family?
Haere Ra
Luckily we supporters and the club don't own it, just tenants.I never seen so many supporters happy and excited to destroy a major part of their history.
The council are stooges for developers, and Peggy and Benny have been lobbying hard for over a year.
People here even bagging the National Trust.
A sad state of affairs .
Yes and it can be stopped by the planning minister Richard Wynne.Luckily we supporters and the club don't own it, just tenants.
The people of Richmond will have the opportunity to object. I expect there will be many objections.
You're in a sad state of affairs if you think the RFC is embodied in a physical stand. The RFC is a CLUB. A CLUB is a group of people. It's not a building or a stand. It's a group of people that band together to create history themselves. You remember the moments. The pirouette of a Dusty curling through goal against GWS or Dusty beating 5 Geelong players to kick a goal from the boundary. Royce Hart taking a screamer in the 1967 GF. KB turning Stan Magro inside out to kick his 7th goal in the 1980 GF. That's the history that matters. You aren't old enough to remember other buildings that have been and gone from the club since 1885. Who cares? They are all documented. The old stand will be documented too. That's why we just move on and keep modernising our club. We want our club to have the best possible facilities to create more memorable moments in the future. You are placing too much importance on inanimate objects rather than the achievements of people. The achievements are what matter. They transcend time. Buildings just crumble.I never seen so many supporters happy and excited to destroy a major part of their history.

They're replacing the stand with another stand. Are players going to be attracted to the club because of a new stand? And what a legacy Peggy and Benny leave! Hopefully we build statues of them right at the front too. You can stand between the two statues and yell at some clouds while our club can continue to attract the best people due our state of the art facilities rather than a derelict Possum hinterland.
You're the same person who'd complain that the club can't attract or keep players due to being unable to entice players and say "we should've built new facilities".
Are you saying the new stand is ONLY a stand and contains nothing else? They're replacing the stand with another stand. Are players going to be attracted to the club because of a new stand?
If this is your take, you've just shown everyone who haven't got a Scooby Doo.They're replacing the stand with another stand. Are players going to be attracted to the club because of a new stand?
You can still redevelop and keep the stand. It's not just the stand being re-developed, it's the whole area. Are you saying the new stand is ONLY a stand and contains nothing else?
It sticks smack bang in the middle of the redevelopment. As a platinum member that's plunged tens of thousands of dollars into the club, I am happy for a proper redevelopment and not a compromised one trying to preserve a stand that is no longer used or is suitable for any other use. I know many, that, like me, have plunged their hard-earned into the club that agree with me too.You can still redevelop and keep the stand. It's not just the stand being re-developed, it's the whole area.
