It only made the press because it was Ginnivan.Has happened before, and will again. It’s poor but it’s how they work through it now
Again I doubt it’s as big of a story if it’s different players

Atleast as over reacted as this has been, if it was anyone else it’d be a lot less meaning. It only made the press because it was Ginnivan.
To be fair there seems to be a fair % of hawks posters conceding he has done the wrong thing. So you know he really has F*cked up.Without reading all these latest posts, let me guess how it plays out...
Hawks fans defending him.
Everyone else thinks he's a w@nker.
I'm sure you would be happy to role up at Rod Laver to see what ever famous musician you paid top dollar to see. Only for them to not show up as they had a hangover. I'm sure you will be happy as larry once they tell you they will reschedule at a later date.
It made the press because someone connected to SEN was affected by it. Players have been no-showing footy clinics since foreverIt only made the press because it was Ginnivan.
True.Again I doubt it’s as big of a story if it’s different players
Luckily for me over the years the cancellation has happened in the days before the event. But I was unlucky enough to have a rap duo from Long Beach only have one member turn up for the show. And that member couldn't be arsed rapping along to full vocal tracks that were playing half the time. Also, I don't think you've been to many concerts if you think that it doesn't happen there too
The point was it was a paid clinic specifically set around the 2 players. And was cancelled at the last minute that parents and kids would have shown up before being notified. The inconvenience and the specifics of the event are slightly different to player not showing up to a free school or footy club run clinic.Yep, it's exactly the same thing as a concert.
I was the photographer for a Starlight foundation event way back at the turn of the century taking photos of sick kids and their families with footy stars, and a number of AFL players didn’t turn up.It made the press because someone connected to SEN was affected by it. Players have been no-showing footy clinics since forever

Doubt they’d of organised it and would’ve just originally agreed to showing up.And a bigger story because they organised this themselves the players at $65 a pop.
Out of season to get some cash on a Sunday morning.
If this was organised with the club you could just wheel out a couple of other players.
