As good as he is with the "around the corner" kicks, I think he realises (or has been told) that a drop punt is better from further out. That goal on the left in the 3rd was pure class.
Silenced a few critics.
Made it look easy as you like. That goal on the left in the 3rd was pure class.

Interesting definition of 30m out you have. Also under a fair bit of pressure - both physical and in terms of the flow of the game.Cmon Anzac day, yes it was an important goal but what's so special about 30m out directly in front? Has the bar dropped that low for AFL players?
Btw, Sunday was the template for him. Low possession but scoreboard impact.
The other thing I like about a lot of our goals in free play this season which you can see in this pic. There are other players open who also could have kicked them.Interesting definition of 30m out you have. Also under a fair bit of pressure - both physical and in terms of the flow of the game.

Um, might want to rewatch it
Agree if he must have low possessions.
Be nice for him to do both - lots of possessions and scoreboard impact, (directly and indirectly).
I am with you Anzac, it was a beauty. There was the pressure of the game, we were in huge trouble at the time, the physical pressure was coming from his right but Jack held his own line and was not forced to his left. If he flinched a millimeter he misses that kick.Um, might want to rewatch it
He's kicked 36 goals this season, which is a great return for what is generally considered a tough gig - small forward. Why do we always want players to do more, especially at 19 and in their second year?
Ginni is a gem. He will get better. He may add other strings to his bow. He has aspects of immaturity to his game, which the coaches will work out with him.
But he’s a very effective small forward already, and could easily have had more goals this year if even a few extra - and justified- frees had been paid.
Plus Ginni has finished on top of the Boo-ometer ratings this year. He's kicked 36 goals this season, which is a great return for what is generally considered a tough gig - small forward.
To put it into context Kozzie Pickett has kicked 2 more than Ginni from one more game.

As others have said. Scoreboard pressure with 6 minutes left in the third, plus that's not an easy kick either from 40 odd out leaning back with pressure coming.
You dont expect many 19 year old small forwards to kick those in their first full season of games
Who stole the jam out of your doughnut?so he grabbed the ball and looked at the clock? he is a genius.
