Surely the angle has a bit to do with it. Ginni was 40 out, and the angle didn't justify a "round the corner" kick IMO. Line it up and take a proper shot; it's a GF FFS.
He lined it up - it was dead on target. He did take a proper shot.

Your age and unwillingness to move with the times is showing, as seen with your old fashioned conservative attitude to pizza toppings. The kind of bloke who'd go to a pizza shop and see someone putting some frozen pink dyed rubber match sticks that the pizza bloke calls ham on a pizza and then complain about the pineapple he adds later. Happily and ignorantly eating the rubberised match sticks.

Round the corner kicks aren't lairising. They're the basics for many players in many positions on the ground. Ginni didn't hit it that well and it fell short by a foot or two. If he hits a drop punt like that from there it makes the distance but misses by metres to the left.

Drop punts from that distance are the best option. Ignoring advice from a seasoned professional was arrogant at best.

well there seems to be a communication problem somewhere in there and that would seem surprising after a premiership...and the thing about telling players to look around, I think that happened to mason cox a couple of years ago when they were going to recontract him at a more realistic price...I dont think it means that the club wants him out. They probably said to him that if wanted to find a club that was a bit more forgiving, then go right ahead...we'll just have to wait for the book

Cox is an American. He understands how things work. I have no doubt his manager shopped him around at the time as per the clubs recommendation. . And there were no takers luckily for us.

We shipped Jack out because of his behaviour. Jack's manager read the room and moved him swiftly on.

Pineapple on pizza is the only way to go.

There are other ways Jen…

Like, NOT putting pineapple on pizza!

J is the devil and is trying to claim your soul.

Resist his evil temptation.

Have fought passionately for years against pineapple on pizza.

It hurts that this has gone unrecognised. The injustice of it. :(

well hopefully in the future, australians can learn how things work....

jack's manager read the room and saw an opportunity to get a longer contract. Probably both him and jack didnt have the confidence that Jack could have an impact at the pies next year and warrant another contract....In fact, I would think that both thought that he would be playing reserves...

I reckon the Mad Monday outfit was the last straw for Fly, Wrighty, Kelly and Brown. That moved the narrative from “Young Larrikin” to “Disrespectful smart ar$e”. Ginni backed them into a corner.

And now the message to other players is clear: mess with our culture at your peril. Ginni’s exit will have a big payoff for that message alone.

Yep, we could have got more back for trading Ginni. However, speed and clear decision-making are both brilliant traits, which Wrighty has bucket-loads of.

Wrighty definitely has, and will continue, to sacrifice some trade value in favour of being easy to do business with. That’s his MO. And that will pay off in the longer term. Wrighty will get the first call on the best talent from other Managers. (Mackie gets the last call, AKA the dregs, if he continues being a flog).

“In Wrighty We Trust”. Stencil that on your lunchbox.

When there is a career decision to be made, Ginni could have done more to ingratiate himself or in his case less to stay on the Wright side of Club list choices.

I wish him well but he’s fair game now, Duck at your own peril.
