I'd be happy to steer clear.

Eerily similar to how Stephenson's career has panned out.

Really good first year, but off-field issues make you question his attitude.

Rumours that he wants to get to Hawthorn.

I'm not sure on his character. I don't think he'd fit in with our culture.
Fake news.
He has no intent on changing clubs. Had a good chat to fly and plans to come back to pre-season in elite condition and fight for his spot in the team.

Was this reported anywhere or just your opinion?
Last night:

Ginnivan is intent on fighting for his position at Collingwood and while rivals believe he could be obtainable the Pies have made no move to shop him around.

Premiership player Ginnivan is in Bali for the next week after a positive exit meeting with Craig McRae where he responded to their call for him to redouble his efforts to get fitter.

He is determined to return from the off-season break in elite shape and has no intent on moving clubs.
While the arrival of Schultz would create a forward line squeeze, Jamie Elliott is 31 years of age so Ginnivan could choose to back himself in for the medium to long-term at Collingwood.

Cant see him then going back on his word to fly and opting out. He worked hard to get into the team the last few months, and so he'll do it again, as he aims to improve his game and fitness.

Unless the pies extend his contract his manager would be negligent if he didn’t tell Ginnivan to move.

Replaced twice, dropped plenty, sub appearances. Writing on the wall he won’t be in the team much next year, the final year of his contract.

Right now his currency is double what it will be in 12 months if he stays at the pies. He could get a 3-4 year deal elsewhere, or stay and get 1-2 year deals on low money.

Little value and most likely had his best year and won’t get anywhere that again.

40 goals last year
Premiership player

If where going of Schultz being Gaz Jr type levels of value then 2x first for Ginni as he is contracted.

Or he can get fit, back himself in, improve areas of his game and fight for a spot in the team. They say its easier to give up then fight, so we'll see which way he goes. He's not yet a finished product, so lots of development to go.
Hopefully backs himself. Like he did in the 2nd half of the year, and how he became a premiership player.

Securing his future isn’t ‘giving up’. Collingwood are not going to give him a 3 year contract on good money, so it’s one major injury away from costing himself $1m+, footy is his job.

Yes, thats true. He'd prob get 2-3 years on modest money. Just whether he'll back himself to have a long term future here. Its the best environment for him to grow as a person and footballer.
