True but I dont think Lukosius chooses Adelaide over Port. Port will probably meet him after the season etc.
If Port want him they would get him

i dont think they can because they have no first round this year and havnt used a first round since 2021
Every single media program and talking heads are saying Luko won't be at the Suns next year, and the Suns want to move him on to make cap space for the new contracts for Mac and Rowell. Talk is that Mac Andrew is going to get a massive contract increase.
Well, Port Power really wanted Rankine and reportedly he didn't even want to meet with them since he was a big Crows supporter growing up which is the same as Lukosius so why would Port Power get him if they wanted him????

They want him to move on. You think he is talking to the Crows coach without the GCs knowledge? If he got caught meeting with an opposition coach, in season, without letting them know it would be a massive issue for him. That's what managers are for. They are a level of deniability between the player and suitors. To get to the player directly is another thing altogether.
He may have even been told to look around.

Just keep in mind Twomey's employer is the AFL, and he's been a regular at trying to drum up positive trade scenarios for GC that invariably never happen. Also seems to oddly have (gets fed) the early mail when Port want to dangle their own trade bait out there...
It ain't gonna be an early pick, has just been dropped, and is reportedly on $1m per year for his final 2 years. They can posture all they want, but it's no secret GC are currently in, or are going to be, a salary cap hole in the near future, despite the AFL handouts...
Rankine arrived for Pick 5 and was by FAR and away a better player and was out of contract....
Laughable to think this won't be a 2nd rounder and GC say see ya later....
I don't even see him as a drastic need for Crows or Port, and GC would be able to see that too. Luko could just sit there and spend the next two years in the VFL on $1m per season

The bit where I said he "may" have been told to look around is speculation, but the bit about the club being informed that he was going to meet directly with the Crows coach is 100% accurate.
No way any club would accept one of their highest paid players, who's contracted, and still in season, meeting with an opposition club without their knowledge.
No different to the amount of Crows supporters in here having a crack at telling us his worth too. Everyone has their opinions
McAdam played 7 games last year and Adelaide got a 2nd rounder for him
Luko has played 20 games this year and Adelaide expect him for a 2nd rounder..

maybe the full trade they are speculating has not been published, Luko and pick 11 for crows F1 and pick 28 is what they are really meaning?

It's not Intel, it's AFL rules.
Contracted players can't meet with other clubs without the express permission of their own club.
Players have managers, and the managers can talk to other clubs, but not the player. The player also can't sign a contract with another club for the following season while still contracted this season.
So, if Luko met with Matty Nick's, the Suns would have had to given him their direct permission to do so.
If they hadn't, you would have heard it blow up with the Sun's being furious at Adelaide for talking to one of their players while they are still playing. Infact, Adelaide could have been punished by the AFL for doing it.
So, if GC has given their blessing for Luko to talk to Adelaide, you think they view him as a wanted player? Nah.
