I don't think I rate him as highly as others do. Surprised he has asked for a trade would have just assumed he was a Pies for life type player.

plays the occasional mare of a game, but a generally reliable running defender with above average skills. Very weak one on one, and shouldn’t be allowed to be exposed in that sense.

Pies will ask for pick 20. 26 or 34 much more likely
Think you’ve summarised the thread perfectly and this is way too reasonable of a take so people will just ignore it

Ollie Henry - Mummy's boy, beta male, let's boo him.
John Noble - Good bloke, family guy, can't begrudge him.

Fascinating how club boards respond to certain players when they depart.

To be fair one was wanting to move approximately 74km to be closer to family the other is looking to move over 1700km to be closer to family.

How about we just make it Luko to Collingwood and Noble to Suns and we get Keane another way?
It’s silly season get into the swing of things by adding as many teams and future thirds as possible.

Your way just doesn’t seem as fun.

As the draft order stands now, Gold Coast have selections six, 13, 20, 26 and 34. Collingwood would be eyeing pick 20 in any deal for the attacking backman.

That makes 26 and a pick upgrade in pies favor and more likely to happen than straight 20.

Given the Suns trading history after this deal gets done the Pies may just have enough ammo to land Petracca.

Well the Pies are giving him their blessing and you could say he's been one our most consistent players this year. He's had a good season. So it's a bit weird they aren't putting up a fight. Could point to exactly what you are suggesting.

This guy gives it 110%. Never stops running. Can make some silly errors, but wish him all the best at the Gold Coast.
Can't imagine the sun will be good for his skin, however, I'm sure he will work it out.

Thanks for the memories. Still gutted he wasn't a premierhip Pie.

No.

Henry only played 25 games and cost us pick 17. As a medium/tall forward we got NOTHING out of him because his body was not developed to have much of an impact. And he left right as he was at that development point to start contributing in a big way.

We got John Noble in the mid season draft, and he played 112 games, and gave his all everytime he stepped out. Missed out on the Premiership and still didn't moan or complain. If you can't respect this journey then go follow a different sport.

That’s overrating Rioli and Noble massively IMO.

Suns in particularly are getting royally screwed.

13 is plenty for Rioli and 26 would be ok for Noble.

13 is too much for Rioli. He played in defense all year in a side where the ball lived in his part of the ground. Really, most players in his position would have got a lot of marks and ball use in that situation. It wouldn't surprise me if he regressed when team dynamics change to a team that is better and demands more.
