Frees up cash for Brayshaw to extend as he will be uncontracted after 25 and gives Freo some draft picks and capital for next year's assault for WarnerJust posted by Ryan Daniels
Yeah, Daniels is good, I reckon, he'd have as good a track record as anyone. That one is a little more reliable
Originally I thought so too but we have been strategically signing players on longer term deals to keep the $ per year downI doubt the Dockers have the salary cap space to get both Bolton and Pickett. Bolton is reportedly on over $1m per season and Kossie would be on $750k. And the Dockers already have several long-term contracts, which may indicate they are already backloading their cap.
The Dees definitely want to keep Kossie, and while we may do a deal due to his family situation, I don't think we will be easily satisfied in a trade because we think he is such a good player.
I do think that club is living in absolute lalaland thinking they can win another flag with this group and missed a trick holding Trac in particular. In other words, Kozzy has been forced to stay where he is without being listened to yet again by Melbourne. Guaranteed he wanted to go but this is Melbourne for you.

His partner is from NT.Honestly think this might come around every year for him, his partner is from WA
and he has family here in WA as well as family in SA
So think he might end up being like Wirra at WCE who every year wanted to be trade back to Vic
due to home sickness
But ended up staying

Nah the price for shai still at #11 & #12Price for Shai just went UUUUUUPPPPPPP!
Missed a trick holding onto Oliver last year, but don't agree on Trac. Realistically Trac & Kozzy are about the only flair we have that can shine through our garbage #contestdefence gameplan. Plenty of us would've been happy with the whole place falling apart to force significant changes, but for now I love that Trac is still a demon.I do think that club is living in absolute lalaland thinking they can win another flag with this group and missed a trick holding Trac in particular.
He just turned 23. I know you desperately wanted him, but holding onto a guy that young is hardly 'missing a trick', to be fair.I do think that club is living in absolute lalaland thinking they can win another flag with this group and missed a trick holding Trac in particular.
I said Trac specifically. I can understand holding Pickett almost short of him saying I need to go for my well-being.He just turned 23. I know you desperately wanted him, but holding onto a guy that young is hardly 'missing a trick', to be fair.
He's young, still has enormous upside and is one of the few players that makes watching Melbourne's drudgery worth it. One of those guys whose value isn't simply replaced by a nice draft pick.
I'd assume we're looking good for picking him up as a free agent in '27? 26 year old gun small helping us go for the Freepeat? I do not not like that idea.
I mean with Trac he only wanted to move to one of two clubs who both told him it was basically impossible. If Petracca was open to going to North I think it would have gone a bit further. At this stage we'd probably get more from his preferred clubs by waiting a year.I said Trac specifically. I can understand holding Pickett almost short of him saying I need to go for my well-being.
Like I said before, he's in everyone's age bracket
I'd like to know the full story with the Blues. I wonder if it was more a cap problem than pick problem. I think they could give pretty good value for a soon to be 29 year old in capital but squeezing up to $1.7m in is a different problemI mean with Trac he only wanted to move to one of two clubs who both told him it was basically impossible.
