I agree we are unlikely to be better right away, but optimistically it is possible. Potentially Vickery, JOM, TOM, Roughead in and Lewis, Hill, S.Mitchell out with some improvement from some of our 7 debutantes is not a clear backwards slide, but I'd concede that with Roughead perhaps still unlikely, and TOM needing to fit into our system and JOM still uncertain that a backwards step is more likely than not.

Not sure how you ended up at that conclusion.
1/ We have pick 1, and a future first round which you don't have. We 100% could offer more than you. Doesn't mean he will come to us or whatever, but we can offer more than pick 10 + some scraps like you guys would be.
2/ We were into JOM just like you guys. We all know his manager put a huge price on his head. We all know GCS offered up a huge price to keep him. We still pursued with him. We have the cap space, even if you may not think that.

yes we traded 14 after GC made it very clear to us they did not want it they wanted players so we get the Mitchell deal done as 2 professional clubs do no angst
