Why not? The whole thing is a load of crap. Vickery's contract will end up being 3 years. JOM will sign a pre agreed extension with whatever club he chooses to join for 3 years or whatever.

It is a fact that Hawthorn can create a front loading that not many others can even do let alone risk doing
Yeah, sorry to burst your bubble but Hawthorn isn't the only club that knows how to move money around to accommodate people. Did you forget which team your former #23 plays for? There's several teams between him and you at pick 10 that could fit him in quite easily, two of which are struggling to pay the minimum 95% at the moment.

Confident this deal will still go through but I don't know how its going to get done. Will be pick 10 + a player but not sure who it'll be. I'd be happy with Whitecross if I'm GC, he is one player who could fill a role for them. Other than him though, I don't like any of the alternative options.

If the deal doesn't get done, he'll reach Hawthorn's pick 10 in the draft but I doubt it would come to that.

Depends if Cochrane wants to keep playing mind games or not.

If he wants to shoot himself in the foot, then good luck to him.

It makes sense really he will be telling every other club go ahead pick me for 1 year and then I'll head to the Hawks

This is not unique to Hawthorn supporters, because we hear it every single year from whichever club is struggling to get a deal done - but this just isn't happening.

No one year contracts for draft - not happening.

Traded?

They pretty much just handed it to St Kilda on a silver platter.

Do Haw fans actually realise the clusterflap their club has made this trade period?

I think most people agree, that was one of the worst trades ever agreed to. Absolutely horrible.

Yeah, like how everyone took Tippett in 2012

10 other clubs passed him over. Why?
Gee, I don't know? Could it have something to do with the fact he barely averaged a goal a game this year? Could there be a correlation between Tippett and Tom Mitchell playing at Hawthorn due to salary cap issues? Maybe 10 other clubs saw something the Swans didn't.

Even i as as Hawks supporter agree that trade was horrible.....but if it helps get the Jaeger Deal done then i guess it wasnt so bad

50% of draft picks bomb....You do the math.

We'll have close to 2 $mill in the kitty next year for F/Agents with Hodge/Gibbo & Burger going....Once again, do the math.

We just gave away 2 guns for peanuts....Do you honestly think we give a **** about draft picks right now?

And penny drops>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>nOW

I thinks that's it. 10 clubs passed on him in 2012 because he barely kicked a goal a game in 2016 o_O

Drink your milk and go to bed

Fail. If you have a look at the page you quoted from, there was other Hawthorn supporters making exactly the same point.

Fail. Two top 40 picks aren't a bunch of rocks to most clubs.

Fail. I wasn't exhorting the draft pick values and specifically said they were only useful as a shorthand, not to evaluate a trade's success or failure.

Feel free to keep building a strawman version of what I posted to rant against it. You seem fairly focused on that for some reason.

Win. Thats a lot of effort to make invalid points.

Havent seen any posts saying there were no 2nd round picks involved, sure they highlight the key components, as you have in the past. Ill move my "focus" elsewhere.

Hmmm.... my opinion on this has not changed, just because you can attract a player does not mean you should.

It is my opinion that your efforts to secure O'Meara are significantly harming your future chances.
