I despise Essendon as much as the next person but in this case St Kilda is completely and utterly low balling Essendon.
Carlisle isn't worth Pick 5, but he's certainly worth a pick between 8 and 12. The onus is on St Kilda to make it happen. Throwing a 2nd round pick and a fringe player is way unders compared to the slightly overs of Carlisle for Pick 5. Even the latest deal is unders for Carlisle.
Stop being amateurs and pay up......so the rest of trade week can sort itself out.

It's not that far fetched swapping to GWS for academy points.

Again, the way the points system works for the Academy bidding those two picks are better for GWS than Pick 8.
Overly generous? Try desperate. Why should Essendon get burned by sacrificing 2 draft picks and player for 1 draft pick. Dodoro was right to reject it.

Every other year you would be right in saying that, this year though they can. Haven't you seen the academy bidding system. Why do you think the saints want them picks as well.
It's for academy bidding. 2 second rounders gets GWS Hopper AND kennedy leaving them to use 7 on the draft.
I don't see it happening, but we are trying to work with GWS on it, so 0 chance we give up 2 seconds.
