I've made I think 9 or 10 videos from Kako's games. This is a playlist of the 7 from this year:

my big take away for this small forward is him being front and centre at the feet of the big guys. Doesn't seem shy to take on the dangerous 45 kick either.

Small tidbit from a Herald Sun article on the U12 schoolboy squad that Jacob Lloyd has made

“Jacob Lloyd, Haileybury College

Son of Essendon great Matthew, Jacob is a small forward who hits the contest hard. The youngest member of the Vic side, he is a tackling machine, hard-at-the-footy and kicks it well. Often does the unrewarded stuff.”
So looking forward to "Bewick finds Lloyd in the pocket, snap around the body, goal."

not completely related to us but VFL guru Paul Amy says Matt Foley likely on track to be nominated for the Fothergil - Round - Mitchell Medal as one of the most promising players under 23. Here is his snippet
Matthew Foley, Essendon

Strathmore’s Foley, who came out of the Calder Cannons at the end of 2022, played four games for the Dons last year and is up to 14 this season. “He’s got a real ability to use the ball and a nice little burst of acceleration and some agility,’’ coach Blake Caracella said. “We’ve been really pleased with his development.’’ Foley is averaging 19.3 disposals as a running defender.

For what it's worth, using the names in the article, likely top 3 will be;

1. Flynn Gentile (Coburg Tigers)
2. Sam Davidson (Richmond VFL)
3. George Grey (Frankson Dolphins)

other names mentioned in the article include Joel Trudgeon, Will Elliott, Jack Toner, Jack Brown (he played a few games with us last year, was disappointed we lost him, now with Williamstown), Cooper Craig - Peters and the aforementioned Matt Foley.

The Kako train keeps chugging on. 25d, 3G, 7T

Young El Achar put up .4 behinds as well as one for next year. VERY small excitement machine but geez the boy has some tricks

Zach Package, Noah Caracalla with an outstanding game for the falcons in a game full of stars against a disappointing Chargers. 20 disposals with 5 marks and 5 rebounds 50’s the highlights

I still hope Ryan Eyre comes good at VFL level as a potential Cat B option too

He is the absolute prototype for a late bloomer, I say pick him and see what he can do, it won’t cost the world and we probably need another back flanker/wing type anyway.

Hope so! Least we will be forced to draft a need rather than spend it on magic beans
Oh, taking him should be our #1 priority.

Just hope we can take him and another 1st rounder.

An excellent performance from Kako who appears choc full of confidence following his exploits with Vic Metro. He played on ball for the first three quarters of the game before moving into his more customary small forward position in the fourth. Found plenty of the footy and his breakaway pace was dangerous in turning stoppage wins into damaging possession for his team. We saw an interesting inversion with his disposal by foot. His field kicking is typically a strength but was a little off the mark here, and yet his set shot kicking which can be wayward was mostly accurate.

The only thing I will say is if he does become an option then we still have f/s rights at next years national draft

‘Small forward’ might be under-selling him a little bit. They called GAJ a small forward once too.
