Yes - he might have improved over the summer to be the next Sea the Stars and can win the Epsom Derby but I am guessing he hasn't.

The lads would have 20 better Derby prospects than him alone.

It's all any of us are doing. DOB probably guessing less than us so will be interesting to see how it pans out. I wouldn't mark him being competitive in our staying events as a fail either, even despite the talent gap over in England. he will be so far out of the WFA scale and will be for many starts to come.

I was being facetious - there is zero chance he has improved to that level - and any reasoned form analyst would know there is zero chance he has improved enough to be competitive in an Epsom Derby given he finished alongside 3yo superstars Pancho and Highland Jack over the Flemington carnival

No surprise Mr Contrarian disagrees though.

Another week another set of pathetic fields on Sat, Sydney group 2yos have 5 and 6 runners!!! what happened to all the good 2yos? Expressway is Alizee vs Kolding and a bunch of walkers. Surprised Kiomichi is not retired though.

Bjorn baker obviously been hitting the milkshakes hard in the last week. Landing big plunges including that last Kembla winner who was very ordinary at Canterbury last week and still bolted in despite completely missing the kick #theyknew

Just Benjamin in at Caulfield sat.
Will be watching the early races and on pace bias before deciding to take the short odds given the rail is out 10m.

I thought given the Kolding hype he'd open closer in price to Alizee - and she did (ludicrously!) get to $3 in this last year when she was borderline bet of the century. I think she will drift but at $3 I'll be stepping in. Main play at this stage will be the close to bankroll lay job STANDOUT looks to be at utter poi poi

Naughty By Nature visually impressive thoughts Liefs?

Gave it none. Will rate it tomorrow given the 2 main faves flopped it's hard to call. The 2nd and 3rd horses looked to have held form. Trackrider says it's working the house down, trust the performance IMO.

Quick maths holding the 2nd and 3rd horses as firm, has it Fringe open age saturday performance and probably improving off that

Honestly WHITE MOSS at double the price is a better bet IMO - trialled brilliant behind Nature Strip
