Interesting thread topic... Worst player in AFL - not at your club.I'd even consider taking the worst player in the AFL (Kayne Turner) off their hands as a bonus

Imagine hearing of a team giving up their Captain (who year prior was an AA), Pick 6 in the draft and paying that key forward 7 million over 7 years only for him play 54 games for 42 goals before retiring after 4 seasons. You would say they the f*cked up big time.
The fact that they would (and should) do it again a million times over is mind blowing because he won em a flag.
The point is more than word play, he literally won them the flag
It astounds me that he didn’t win the Norm Smith
This is surpassed Lever/McGovern level smoke
Are port getting reamed here?

We hopeI don’t think you can take anything out of this as a preference about where he wants to go
You can absolutely take this as a clear sign he wants out though.

Butters would be just about their best player, and then to throw in a first and 2nd round pick (which they don’t have) is a huge price
No quite the Anne heche stranded on a desert island - 6 days 7 nights approach thenThis is beyond smoke, it’s a cry for help. Like “rescue me” written in big letters using rocks on a desert island beach
To be fair Danger was 25, not 18.This is North's Dangerfield moment, we were all in denial about him leaving. With Walsh's tragic passing we thought no way would he leave. We celebrated Danger buying a boat and a fishing day with Danger as a radio contest prize that would happen after his current contract expired as signs he would stay.
There would be mass debates where people would change their mind every week over what their own gut feeling of what Danger was going to do.
Hell it was office cooler talk most weeks towards the end. There were even people here who suggested they knew people they worked with who's friend played in a mixed netball team as Mardi suggest that they weren't leaving because of some random over heard conversation.
It sucked ass, and the exact same scene is playing out on North's board right now.
Didn't say the Adelaide clubs are going to think less of him. That was someone else that made that comment. I said that by showing his hand that he wants to go to port, port won't have to offer him as much compared to if he said he was willing to go to either Adelaide club. Now Adelaide may push their offer up out of spite to hurt their salary cap but if port knows he has no intention of going to the crows they won't have to pay him as much as we aren't a genuine alternative. He shouldn't have liked the tweet. The player should always keep clubs in the dark to get the best offer. You think the Adelaide Clubs are going to think less of him because of this?
If anything he is becoming more valuable as the more damaged he becomes the less the Roos are going to be able to get for him.
If I was his agent, I would be showing him all the footage of Jimmy Butler I could!

You are assuming the "like" was genuine i.e. he was expressing a like for being traded to Port. I think it was just a dumb "LOL" like. Of course the optics are bad whichever way you look at it, but I doubt that this would persuade/fool any club into thinking he had a preference.if port knows he has no intention of going to the crows they won't have to pay him as much as we aren't a genuine alternative. Have to say I had him BOG. Particularly as JJ's disp efficiency from memory was horrible. Also off the back of a pretty impressive pre-lim too.The point is more than word play, he literally won them the flag

Funny you should mention Walshy, as it was at the 2015 Phil Walsh showdown that was the final nail in the coffin for me re: Danger leaving. Just by chance, I was standing on the hill with my mate next to 2 tradies (also Crows supporters) who were actually working in Moggs building his house at the time. Obviously said, yep he's 100% gone. This is North's Dangerfield moment, we were all in denial about him leaving. With Walsh's tragic passing we thought no way would he leave. In all honestly as much as I'd love to get him he probably just enjoyed the suggestion that he is worth Butters and a first rounder. You are assuming the "like" was genuine i.e. he was expressing a like for being traded to Port. Let’s find that out after we tradeAre we sure the screenshot of the like wasn’t photo shopped?

Real Estate transactions - Oh that’s for investment

I wouldn't do it but he probably is worth that and I'm sure he enjoyed the media saying he is that much better than an established young mid.
