I can't help thinking that JHF next move is of extraordinary consequence for so many people.
Just imagine if he recommitted to North. It's literally a life buoy to the struggling club. Thousands of supporters affected and the club can use the extension as a foundation for future talent attraction and retention.

If he wants to leave, it's life threatening to the club...in my opinion.

It's actually a very difficult position for a teenager to be in. He might want out, but if it leaves a disastrous effect behind. Nobody would want to be "that person".

We are suggesting that this is North's Dangerfield moment which is somewhat right. It's actually closer to their Chris Grant moment. The future of our club wasn't threatened by Danger leaving. Their club looks desperately precarious.... just like the Doggies did back in the day.

This dilemma makes for great BF banter, but this trade matters more than most.

Also suspect it would matter a great deal if he chooses us/Port.

Big difference between a couple of pick 10s and a couple of pick 5s in trying to sell it to your supporter base as a capitulation or not.

For us - I wouldn't see offering two top 5 picks as capitulation. JHF is that good.
Add him to Rachele and Thilthorpe, you would be confident of one day playing off in a grand final.

Essentially he would be costing us a good 1st rounder next year as this years pick would be used either on him or if he was not traded in, another mid you would have to think, and JHF one that projects to a very high level if he can bring it all together.

Imagine (yeah its very unlikely to end up this way i know), JHF, Keeler and Michalanney at years end. The elite projected mid, an enigmatic tall with a big upside and the smooth mid ranged defender..ah we can only dream

Not sold on keeler imo. Wait for Tyler Welsh.

If only North Melbourne or its fans could finance a 20cent offer of pocket money to keep JHF.

Let's just hope that Nobes is at the negotiating table.

Can't anchor on the Horne-Francis deal.
Let's hope he pulls out the Josh Schache trade playbook. I'd happily trade a 2nd and 3rd for him.

“We've had a mature conversation more than anything about Josh's Jason's desire to go home, and we had that conversation open and honestly when he re-signed was drafted that we thought there'd be a point in time when he would consider going home," Noble said.

“We’ve got on the front foot and had a conversation with Josh Jason and his manager and if things work out for both parties he would be interested.”
