Well this opinion was wildly unpopular
I agree with you. If this opportunity hadn't arisen I'd be fine with keeping Bergman and seeing how he develops, but if Bergman is the difference between JHF and no JHF next year then I'll drive him to the airport.

2 firsts and bergmann is way overs...its effectively 3 first rounders. Furthermore will JHF be able to handle the pressure of costing such us so much?

Anyway I think the deal has been done in principle otherwise JHF wouldn't have put his neck on the line as there's no turning back now.

I think it's been done with the equivalent of 2 firsts and a second.

Regarding west coast my view is most of what the media is saying is blatant concocted hyperbole like Houstan was today. It's all just.....bullcrap.

Unrelated to the topic, but I did notice that we are one of the few boards with no ‘no oppo supporters’ topics.

On topic, this deal will get done. Just a matter of posturing from North, which I don’t really blame
Because we can handle oppo BS? We sorta were forced into that position really. Surprised Lolnorf are still such softies.

I

don’t understand how we do though? Worst that can happen is Adelaide join the race next year and grab him. No matter what they lose him, for less than what they could have got this year.

But those morons will probably take it as a win and gloat about losing him for less than what they could get this year.
Yeah would suck, but we wouldn’t have actually lost anything..
Righteo boys. Righteo.
I doubt the Bulldogs fans will be gloating about how they lost Dunkley for far less this year than last.

Same as the Bombers fans with Daniher.

Ex players come onto their board and administration to run the club and absolutely destroyed it. Brad Scott told them what they needed to do and they went for him.
Lol, that's the Brad Scott version. Leaves out the fact he'd already told the board that once before, at the end of 2016 when we retired Boomer, Firrito, Petri and NDS. That's when the rebuild allegedly started, yet after an unexpected 9th we're trading in ****ing Polec and Pittard, chasing Gaff, and bringing in list cloggers like Marley Williams and Nathan Hrovat. Where's the rebuild?
So yeah, when he says we have to restart the rebuild the board says you're not wrong, but you've had your crack.
North copped a fair bit of shade for supposedly gutting our side before we got the spoon, but that was the nature of the team he built. Perpetually middle of the road.
Like there's mixed reaction to Bonner around here, he's your classic 20-25 player. Every team needs a few. But imagine having 15 of the ****ers!

and if he refuses to get on the plane (or refuses to go to North)?

Aside from nominating Port, maybe North are waiting for the Rankine deal to be sorted to see if the Crows can offer anything for JHF - even if it’s to add some pressure to Port to cough something more up?

PA
In JHF
Out 8, F1

North
In 8, Hunter Clark
Out JHF

STK
In F1 (PA)
Out Hunter Clark

This to me seems a fair deal for all parties, with everyone getting what they need. Maybe some later pick swaps required.

STK might be a little pissed off if they get a pick between 14-18 for Clark, but let's face it, it's probably more likely to be 8-14 which is about Clarks value.

PA get our man.

North get a senior player and pick 8. I don't think they get the Clark deal done unless they get more first rounders because STK won't settle for a second rounder imo.

Who are all these former ‘Vic’ players coming out of the woodwork.

If this was a VIC kid you wouldn’t hear boo.

Now (Geelong’s) Esava Ratugolea is likely to be moving to Port Adelaide in some sort of trade. Whether that helps grease the wheel. The Power’s second pick is 33 and that’s not going to get it done.

Well Amon compo was pick 27. Esava played 4 games this year.
