Side note. Did anyone see the 7 news tonight (I know it's s**t, but there was something my wife wanted to check out)? I couldn't find any report via google, but apparently Tom Powell's father was in court today. I only heard bits and pieces of the report but the suggestion was that he had charges dropped for one matter today, but noted he had another matter due in a few months time. Again wasn't paying much attention but thought the news mentioned the charges were of a broadly similar nature to crimes that North Melbourne seem to have an inconsistent view on, depending upon whether the player plays for you or another team. Did anyone see that?

JHF never had to 'con' the Crows out of being able to trade for him. If he doesn't want to be traded to the Crows, all he has to do is say he won't sign off on any trade to the Crows. That's it. No 'con' necessary.

I think hes not talking about the 2022 trade period but the 2021 Draft.

That us an norf got together and we convinced norf to use their no1 pick for JHF then trade him to us a year later just to screw the crows

He is half right. It was totally pre-planned. Adelaide enquired about JHF. He says he’s staying at North. Adelaide commit all their draft capital and salary cap space to a half forward flanker. Suddenly, with one team in the home market, JHF wants to come home. Deal done. If Adelaide hadn’t committed to Rankine, North would have said They will only take the best bid. A master stroke by Davies and JHF.

But he’s half wrong. It’s not draft tampering- there was no draft involved, you idiot! And all parties to the transaction consented.
