But there is an outside chance they were Fantasia’s legs that were reattached.

As Fantaman inches his way forward, the resignation and indifference of the guy seated has me seeing the Port faithful on hearing

Orazio is training the house down. Shouldn't laugh tho' i'm sure Petal is putting in the hard yards.

For the record I hope he has a great year but any optimism for him makes me 🤣

Liked for the use of Petal as his nomme de guerre!

Bakelite actually has very good tensile, flexural and compression strength. None of which would seem to be applicable to Orazio "Petal" Fantasia. :(

I just have memories of an old bakelite phone at my grandparents' place that virtually crumbled to dust when you picked it up - maybe because it had been put in the back shed for years.

I've written OF off - too unsafe to select, does not have an AFL body.

Reckon my Dad used to talk about Bakelite records he had (Winnifred Atwell, J P Souza, etc) that he played on his gramaphone.

Think they were mainly 78rpm ones.

Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley admits a club would be horrified to lose a player such as Jason Horne-Francis after one season, but said Horne-Francis should not be judged for leaving North Melbourne to return to his family.

Hinkley also acknowledged that Horne-Francis, 18 in his first season, could have handled his situation at North Melbourne better and that the 2021 No.1 draft pick would likely be the most scrutinised player on his new club’s list.

Watched the trial game again and i didnt mind JHF game. Yes he was a bit sloppy (who wasnt) yes he struggled at times, but what he did show was strength, the ability to take the game on, frustration that he wasnt playing his best and good old fashioned mongrel.

All big ticks in my mind. Its what we have been missing. Every team needs a josh carr, Pickett or Hardwick.

While i love Boak and Robbie etc they are nice clean cut players. I love having someone like this to bring back the old port ways

He has had a fractured preseason, which plays a significant part. He also looks to have added a few extra kilos to his weight, which combined with his lack of a preseason, had him looking quite sluggish at times. Understandable. He has another for weeks of conditioning to go before rnd 1, so I suspect we will see a different player emerge by then.

Even so, everyone should lower their expectations for this season as he comes to grips with his body, the new team, and the different game style. We know the media will be all over every move the kid makes, and will smash him accordingly .. lets not join them.
