Don’t judge Melbourne by Collingwood supporters and the Herald Sun. Judging from the stories the latter runs, it hates the state as much as some of you do.

I'm not. This is standard Melbourne fare. The most insecure city on the planet. No city comfortable in it's own skin needs to so shamelessly and constantly self promote the way Melbourne does. You simply don't get that nonsense out of....say....Sydney.

By the Vics clubs fans logic, we should be booing any NSW/QLD/WA/SA player that lands a trade to a Vic club, Even if the trade has nothing to do with Port Adelaide.

Victorian clubs are so much more patient and honorable though. I mean, Collingwood waited until Taylor Adams finished his second year at GWS before ripping him out of Sydney and the Bulldogs gave Josh Schache every opportunity to stay at Brisbane before opening their arms. The list goes on.

Been in many peoples named best in 2/3 games at 19 whilst being led and coached by at best a very poor captaincy and coaching group.

I felt competitively he let himself down a bit in the last qtr once things were going the crows way which was a bit disappointing. However his first three qtrs were all you could ask for a young guy playing his first showdown before a big crowd. Excellent skills, lots of grunt and creativity getting the ball out of stoppages.

Our other prize recruit 27 year old small forward who might be better off getting back on the bongs
Our 60 game first round pick wingman who seemingly spends more time practicing his goal celebrations than learning how to get his hands on the ball
Our other first round pick from the same year who's gone from looking like the second coming of Robbie Gray to the second coming of Sam Gray
Our exciting young bull who starts every game by smothering his hands in liquid soap
Our 120 game silky skilled half back flanker who shits the bed whenever the game is there to be won
Our other two silky skilled experienced half back flankers who just shit the bed at any time
Our defensive mid who can't kick over a jam tin to save himself

If you saw our reserves play earlier in the day you can pretty much add everyone from that game to the list

Never shirked a single hard ball contest last night.
Pity another 15 of his team mates didn't do the same

JHF & SPP battled their hearts out all night.
Maybe Tom "living the life" Jonas and a few other older types think he's putting them to shame?

Loved it when he tackled the Crow layer,josling the ball free toallow us to snap a vtal goal - about 14 Crow players came from nowhere to jostle, jumper punch, shove, wrestle him. He gave back as good as he got, and only a few of our mob bothered to defend him.

I love this kid! He's got some spirit and grit in him that a lot of his mates don't.
I know who I'd rather have in my team - and it isn't those types who held back from aiding their mate in that instance, and typifies their lack of true Port determination and lack of commitment to the hard ball, that sees results like the past two weeks happen way too often!

I thought he played well. Up against a multiple AA. JHF was verbalised all night, was physically challenged all night, he didnt let it get to him and he played alright. Would have been in our top 6 players.

Everytime he gets the ball you know he is going to deliver the ball to a teammates advantage, unbelievable vision. Absolute joy to watch. Can football.
